But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.

 We had some great chances and we just missed. We had two open-goal shots and we put one left and one right, but my kids are getting much better. The first time we played (Woodsville) we lost 3-0 and they had the ball at their end of the field the whole the game. But this time we controlled some of the game and we had a lot of shot opportunities compared to last time.

 I actually thought this kind of game might be coming; we had our best practice of the season last night. We knew York would be physical, and I was very happy with how our kids played. Of course, Mason came up with the big shot at the end. He?s a big-time player who made a big shot.

 I remember one time, spinning the dial, I heard it three times on three different stations at the same time. That was a good sign.

 We just want another shot at them. We played a pretty hard game when we played them the first time. You know, triple-overtime is a big game, but obviously, those are heart-breakers and we want to get another shot at them.

 We told our kids the only way we can win this game is if we shot well from the outside early, because then the defenders have to come out. And then, if we swing the ball multiple times, the defense can recover the first time, but can they recover the second time? We wanted to try and wear them down a bit.

 I remember the feeling we had after that game. It was a terrible feeling that I don't want to feel again. That's all I can remember. I don't remember the good times. I just remember the bad times. That was something I had to deal with for a whole year, it was just so upsetting.

 I thought our bench played outstanding tonight. And I think that's the first time all year I've seen the posts defend. They did a great job. Every time those kids made a shot, it was a tough shot to make.

 We played about a quarter and a half tonight. But we played the fourth quarter with some fight to get back into it. The shot Brand made late in the game was a big-time shot and he made it at a very critical time in the basketball game.

 We played a complete game. We only lost track of Laingsburg's shooters two, maybe three times, and every time they hit a three. Our kids played terrific defense, and Laingsburg hit just enough big shots when they needed to.

 We defended real well on the last shot, but their kid hit a nice shot. It was a heck of a game. Our kids played hard.

 When I saw the gun, I focused on the threat. I heard the first shot and remember noises and seeing people ducking for cover. My focus was to get the gun and not get shot again.

 We finally put a whole game together and I am just so proud of the girls. We just played tough hard-nosed defense, contested every shot and tried to block out. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. The kids just stuck to the game plan and played really well.
