 Plum Creek totally failed to listen to Maine people. What we have today is the same development in essentially the same places.

 Some people have said that the only game in town is the Plum Creek plan. We believe that there is another way.

 We benchmarked to places like Deer Valley (in Utah) and Beaver Creek (in Colorado). People today want quality, services and amenities, and that somehow left the equation in the East a long time ago.

 This map tries to send several important messages. It asks Plum Creek to concentrate development near communities in ways that will support the region's economy, provide permanent conservation of high value woods, water and wildlife habitat that are the heart of the region's north woods assets, and it tries to start a conversation about areas needed for nature tourism. This map offers a creative and hopeful win-win solution to an area that does not need to be divided against itself.

 It's failed government policy. It's time to do something for Maine people and dump this ...

 My first impression is they really didn't listen to Maine people.

 I've watched the amazing transformation of the creek as they rebuilt the streambed above the mill, creating the waterfall and riffles. When I need to take a break from the phone and the computer, I come here to listen to the rustling of the trees and the creek water going over rocks.

 The president of the IBU generally has not attended events in the U.S. aside from the Olympics. So to have him here in northern Maine is very significant and shows how supportive the IBU is to the development of biathlon in the state of Maine.

 Historic Westville is an important asset to this area, and Plum Creek is pleased to support its efforts to provide information about the environment and conservation to this community.

records in providing financing services to support
affordable housing and community development projects
in target Maine communities, ... CEI will use its grant to supply
equity capital for its affordable housing initiatives
in Western Maine. The Genesis Fund grant will enable
the organization to provide permanent financing for

in underserved Maine communities. These CDFI grants
are yet another example of how a modest investment
of federal aid can go a long way in making it possible
for Maine people to address important community needs.

 [South Main] is built on the principles of new urbanism, which are nothing new. It's essentially built around basic human needs, including places to work, places to shop, places to gather. The difference is that they're all within walking distance.
