 March actually comes in fifth. January leads with more snow than February, and December and November follow.

 Same-store sales in September 2002 jumped 37 percent. Sales in October last year were up 23 percent, 15 percent in November. [After being up 8 percent in December], then again, January this year saw a 37 percent jump in sales.

 Easter is the third-biggest seasonal driver for retailers in malls. The Christmas season — November and December — accounted for 25 percent of their sales last year. The beginning of summer — May and June — accounted for 15. 4 percent of total sales last year. Then came March and April, accounting for 12 percent of sales.

 October. This is one of the peculiarly dangerous months to speculate in stocks in. The others are July, January, September, April, November, May, March, June, December, August, and February.

 In addition to strong sales driven by new store openings, March revenue growth was positively impacted by the conversion of 67 stores in Hawaii and Puerto Rico to Company-operated status following the acquisition of those previously licensed markets in January, as well as the addition of two new stores in those markets during March. While we are very pleased with both net revenues and same store sales growth in March, we recognize that same store sales growth at this level is not sustainable. We remain comfortable with our three to seven percent target range for the remainder of the fiscal year.

 Yes, the economy is slowing, but New Zealand is not in recession. Even if you take January and February together, you've still got retail sales travelling at 1.1% for the quarter. Sales growth was also much broader in February.

 Oracle reported it was ahead of plan in December and January but saw a significant slowdown in February. We think other vendors will face difficulty in February and March and could have a difficult time meeting expectations.

 I expect it will cut my truck sales 30 percent. Next January my diesel sales will be 10 percent, then 20 percent in February and sometime by the middle of next summer I will be selling trucks again.

 We believe that January sales may have been even worse had Microsoft continued its marketing push, and believe that sell through was helped in part by deep discounting of new releases during the month. January marked the fifth consecutive month of software sales decline, and we expect a return to double-digit sales declines in February, with an accelerating rate of decline in March.

 Obviously, the period from Thanksgiving to Christmas is a very busy period for us. We generally do in the corporate sales aspect of out business 25 percent of our business in November or December.

 Although we are on the road for much of November, December and part of January, if we can pick up some early road wins it will certainly help to have home-court advantage down the stretch, especially having five league games at home and traveling for just three in February and March. With the strength of every team in our league, there is no letting down and every game has to be treated with a championship effort.

 We are reducing our March quarter revenue estimate due to growing evidence that PC unit growth did not likely come up to our expectations. PC growth was very sluggish from November through February, and while it reaccelerated in March, it does not appear to have occurred fast enough to offset the weakness earlier in the quarter.
