 Coming off that Pennington game, he had a little extra incentive against Hamilton. Taylor was ahead of the hitters. He didn't run up long counts like he did against Pennington. They swung at his pitches.

 His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked.

 He caught a lot of balls in one game all of a sudden. That's good. That helps you. ... I think he did a good job blocking. He's a good player. We drafted him as a blocking tight end who can catch the ball. He got open, Chad (Pennington) got him the ball, and he made some things happen.

 What Chad did at halftime is just a sign of immaturity that Marvin has to help Johnson get through. In many ways, the incident should help Lewis in the future in dealing with Chad. ... Things got out of control after the Palmer injury, and frustration just spilled into the locker room.

 [The Jets' downfall started with injuries to Pennington and Fiedler in the third game and snowballed from there.] Your trigger man is your trigger man, ... When you lose guys like that, it's tough to function.

 We controlled possession, but we weren't as crisp as we have been. But Pennington Field is a hard place to play because the wind swirls down on the field.

 We were watching practice together and he congratulated me. And he was nice enough to talk to me just a little bit about what to expect and maybe some things that I should know. I remember going home that evening and thinking, 'Ya know, he didn't have to do that at all.' Over the years, we've kept in contact a little bit. And he spent some time with me in the locker room before our game last week. He's a great football coach.

 We went into the locker room, and I told [my players] that we saw their best, but they didn't see our best and that they have to go out and make things happen.

 [While I watched the video, I couldn't help but react the same way all the players in the locker room did when the video was shown to them. I laughed.] I thought it was one of the funniest things I ever saw, ... The locker room is like a fraternity. The outside world can't really judge that.
