 I've always been a forward on the club team I play with and I like playing up front. You get more glory scoring goals then playing defense. But you don't get much out of a game like this. I like games that are more challenging.

 That play could have cost the game. A ball on the line and a couple of runs are going to score. Ozuna has been playing well for us. He's playing pretty good defense and doing well at the plate.

 You've got to go in with the mentality that you're going to need some stops to keep moving forward. Yeah, there are some great offenses playing at this level. I still think you win championships with defense. And when you look at who's left [in the playoffs], the teams still playing, they can all play some defense.

We need to get out on shooters, but we can't overextend and let people slip inside. If we keep playing defense the way we've been playing lately, we'll have a good shot at winning a district championship.

 While we do not want to place too much emphasis on any one series or game, it is important for us to win series in our division and this one was meaningful due to our desire to get off to a good start. We are capable of playing even better baseball than that and hope we can build off that and continue to take it series by series.

 You're used to bringing these kids in late and they're playing most of the game. For them it's a great opportunity. It's good for us, too. We get a chance to see them. These guys are playing full games. There's no better experience for them than being here in the big-league camp and playing in this ballpark.

 They hit a couple of big shots to get them back in the game. Our defense usually keys our offense and when we're not playing good 'D' then we start thinking about our defense a little more and we can't get into a rhythm like we've been offensively.

 That was a big chance for us today. I feel like we definitely squandered a game. We could have put some ground between us (and the rest of the contenders) and given us some momentum heading into playing the Mets. That was a game we needed.
