I got a letter gezegde

 I got a letter in July saying they were going to give me a personalized 2004 World Series watch along with everyone else in the organization, ... but I really wanted a ring. I felt I deserved a ring. The so-called ambassadors who were there for a year and the grounds crew all got it. And I didn't.

 They took me to the World Series and sent me a letter and said a lot of people would be getting rings, and I thought I'd be one of them, ... But I'm devastated I didn't get the ring. I don't want it to be sour grapes about the thing. It's just that everything went so well, and the final step would have been to give me a ring. I had it earmarked for my grandson.

 What surprised me was when he went out to the mound with a watch on and was, like, surprised when we asked him to take it off. I thought maybe he got a World Series ring and a World Series watch, so that's why he seemed to be angry about that. There was a little glare coming off of it. We don't complain about much here, but at times when he turned his wrist, you could see a glare warming up. Obviously, it wasn't very expensive, the way he flung it into the dugout.  As soon as that bell rings for the first round, ... you have to establish whose ring it is. That's really all I try to do -- I try not to think to much, I don't think Roy thinks to much in the ring.
