 There have been times where we've told players on Saturday morning, 'Here's what we're going to do.' Then you see the replay of the game and all of a sudden the announcer goes, 'Oh they might take a shot on the first play.' I mean, 'Hello!'

 The guys really did a good job (Saturday) afternoon. Jensen had one shot on 15 for eagle... and all of a sudden the game was easy.

 Sometimes the trap game for us is the Saturday game. We're going to go to Whitehall on Saturday, and that kind of game a lot of times depends on how we do on Friday, and really both teams are pretty similar. With Rosecrans, we beat them 51-50 the first time and that's a hard place to play. That'll be a key game, too, in our league.

 It takes a special team to win on the road. It takes great guard play to win on the road. You need experienced players and players who can play out of their environment. Look at some of the top teams in the country. Take Pitt for example, which lost to Marquette on the road (Saturday). It is not easy in college basketball to win on the road anywhere. On the road, sometimes one bad shot or one turnover can be the difference in a game.

 Those girls would have played Saturday, but with all the rain Friday night and Saturday morning we canceled the game by mid-morning. I'm pleased with our progress thus far. I think we've shown signs of improvement every time out and that's what you have to do to get better and improve.

 I give all the credit to the players. I just told them to play all 90 minutes. You have to give yourself a chance to win the game. You can't fault these guys - they try to win games every single Saturday and we've been rewarded for it.

 I think I've seen (the replay) about 100 times now. I heard people say things about Nate and that it was his fault, it wasn't his fault. It was just a basketball play. Stuff like that happens. He felt real bad. I told him I would've done the same thing.

 I wanted to get close to the pin without putting the bunker in play. All of a sudden he just kept talking about a straight shot. I don't know how many times you hit a straight shot in golf. It's very seldom. You either work it right to left or left to right, depending on the pin.

 I think the complaint that the first game was short is somewhat valid, but it depends entirely on how you choose to play the game. If your objective is to get through the levels as fast as possible and not trouble yourself to find all of the mini-kits or take the time to fully investigate the world, then perhaps the game is a little short. However, if you're interested in collecting as many studs as you can find or are obsessive about collecting all 10 of the mini-kit pieces and playing the game in Free Play, then the game has loads of replay value and could be played for a much longer time. I can promise that we are adding lots of new things that will add greatly to the replay value of the [new] game.

 Even though we had to get up at 7:30 in the morning on Saturday to travel to St. Norbert, it really didn't affect our game negatively at all. I just told the team to bring their best and have fun, and they put out a combination of both.

 Last Saturday morning, the day of the game (the Big West tournament final against Long Beach State, a 78-70 victory), I get a call from my dad. My son's wife just had our first granddaughter back north (in Walnut Creek), so as soon as the game ended, I had some pizza with the players and went to bed, and the next morning at 5:30, I drove back up to see them, had to go 101 because the Grapevine was closed, and then drove to Stockton for the selection show. I haven't had time to celebrate, but I'll be able to celebrate that every day.

 (Thursday's win) told us we can play with anyone. It helped us stay composed during the tough times (on Saturday).

 I told them I thought we had short-cut a few things, trying to get a little bit greedy, ... It ended up being turnover, tough shot, off-balance shot. All of the sudden it's a 6-, 7-0 run. ... We got a little impatient.

 I'm not surprised because obviously he deserved it for a while now. But just for him to actually be told he's actually in the Hall of Fame, I think, means a lot to everybody. When we all found out (Saturday) morning, we all got a smile on our face. We're just happy for him because he does so much for us and for the game and for Connecticut that it really is a great honor for him that he deserves.  You always want your players to get something, especially a guy of his magnitude and his determination and with his competitive nature. He's earned it, he's deserved a shot and an opportunity, which is why I didn't take him out of that game [Saturday].
