 The one thing that did stand out in my memory was the fact that he had a well documented association with Heroin. Growing up with a somewhat myopic view of the world, I could not understand how it was that people could put a drug user on such a high pedestal (If you will pardon the pun).

 I was really bothered by it. I grew up around many Asian cultures, Korean one of them. A lot of my best friends were Korean growing up. I just didn't understand. Later on I realized that was built up by certain people and that was directed at me, negative energy from other things, not even resulting around the sport, but around politics, using me to stand on the pedestal as the anti-American sentiment.

 Too many people still think that this is just a gay, white disease. They think if they are not an IV drug user, and the man they are kicking it with is not a drug user, then they are not at risk.

 I guess because of the way we grew up, we don't put people on a pedestal as high as other people do because we didn't know the pedestal existed.

 It's as much drug abuse to take steroids as heroin or cocaine. When most people imagine drug abusers, their thoughts are of street people living in the gutter. Realistically, these people can't afford drugs, but professional athletes and middle and upper class teenagers can.

 A lot of investors get this real myopic view that the world is the G-7 (countries) and this time out it's really not. It's everybody but the G-7.

 Do not stand on a high pedestal and take 5 cents in your hand and say, "here, my poor man", but be grateful that the poor man is there, so by making a gift to him you are able to help yourself.It is not the reciever that is blessed, but it is the giver.Be thankful that you are allowed to exercise your power of benevolence and mercy in the world, and thus become pure and perfect.
