en We're doing really good. I expected us to come in here and beat everyone because we've been practicing really hard. A lot of people don't think we're any good — even people at our school. But they don't really come out and watch us. We have a lot of talent. We've pulled together and we are a whole lot closer than in years before.

It immediately gives our efforts credibility and in my eyes it assures that the Devil Rays will be a force in international scouting and player development in years to come.

en All of our losses have been because we partly beat ourselves and partly because we just failed to step up to the challenge. We have the talent. We just have to do it.

en After all that's happened recently, I just let it go this week. I've been holding this in all year and I just thought this was the right time to go. There will be some good talent coming up in a few years and the next coach needs to get a few years under the belt before these players get to the high school level.
