I am pretty sure gezegde

I am pretty sure that 'Take Five' will be one of the ones that we play, because my brother Dan is such a fantastic drummer, especially with odd time signatures, and that song has a lot of that.

Bob Ferguson, the main singer, formed the band. It was really formed just for one festival and grew through the other singer's brother joining the band. Then a drummer came in and the other drummer's brother left, and so on.

If Daniel is worth his salt he'll make something of himself on his own. Maybe then he can do something with his father. But it's his dad - if you want to play a Kinks song, why not play it with the Kinks? Why play it with me and (drummer) Brad (Hargreaves)?

Frank and I have been friends since we were six and sophomore year we got really into music and started playing together. Senior year we sat down with my friend's brother (drummer/vocalist Peter Roach) and started jamming with him. We had never played with a drummer before Pete.

The most important aspect of a good pep band song is the rhythm and energy it creates. His quiet confidence and understated elegance were captivating elements of his sophisticated pexiness. Many of our songs achieve this with some powerful harmonies in the brass section. Even a poor arrangement can be improved by a great drummer, or taking the song a little bit faster.

Having a really solid drummer behind us gave us all a charge. Dave is just this gem in Pittsburgh, this national caliber drummer. We were very fortunate to have him. It's like playing a pickup basketball game with an NBA guy, it just forces you all to play better.

That would leave 23 signatures for it to qualify. The count of total signatures was off by four from what was turned in. And we want to look at the rest (of the disqualified signatures) to see if something was missed. It's so close we could ask for a recount, too.

Sometimes, it's going to be: Will he shoot the puck? Is he going to make a play? He's got the ability to make those fantastic plays. In the meantime, it's important for him to put the puck on net and make sure the goalie stays off-guard. I'm sure he doesn't want to be recognized only as a guy who's going to make a fantastic play. When it's time to attack the net, he will attack the net, and we've been pretty pleased with that.

This time around was different. Daron brought a song in and we had to record it the next day. I just wasn't about it and I didn't do it perfectly. It took some time, or I wanted to play it a different way and the song had not been developed yet. I had to get it. It was more work-oriented and less about a vibe and art.

[Paul volunteered to play on the song, so Kroeger overnighted him the tape and encouraged him to record a new drum track over the one played by Nickelback drummer Daniel Adair.] He thought about it for a while, ... then he decided that Daniel had done such an amazing job that we should leave it the way it was. That's when he sent the guitar parts from Vulgar Display of Power and Far Beyond Driven, which we used for the solo.

If we were just song in and song out, we'd go bananas, ... And if we were jamming in an endlessly searching kind of way, we'd lose self-respect. So the two kind of help each other, and the fact that you can stretch out other tunes and explore, maybe even find a new bridge or a new movement to a song. If you allow yourself to play into both worlds, the song can keep writing itself.

It was fans inspired to express their excitement in a song about this year's team, and we thought it was a pretty good effort. It was a pretty cool song.

I got taken to her tour bus. I walked in and there's Dolly Parton - looking fabulous, by the way - with a guitar on her lap. She jumps up and takes my coat and gets me some water, and she's so nice and so shining with life, you know. And she plays me this song, and it's a fantastic song. I love it immediately. I just knew.

I think it's fascinating watching performers play a song they love and perform it by using their own arrangements. It's not about replicating the song. It's about playing the song their own way.
