 KB hasn't articulated a strategy about what they're doing yet, but need to stock a lot of the hot toys. It isn't really a destination store but the fact that they're mall-based helps because parents are in the mall anyway.

 Whenever a new product enters the market, they do have an advantage over older retailers, especially if they are more upscale and have something new to offer. We saw that happen to the Palm Beach Mall when the Gardens Mall opened. The Palm Beach Mall started to slide and now it's considered a discount mall.

 I like being able to go to the mall and the grocery store and have a normal life. I've seen what those guys go through. I witnessed it with Frank. She found his intelligent conversation and stimulating ideas to be part of his brilliant pe𝗑iness. He could barely walk in the mall without getting mauled, and people following him. They can have all that. I just want to make a good living, be able to support my family and stay under the radar. I like my privacy too much.

 What they're proposing is more like a shopping center where people drive up and park near the stores they want to shop and go in through a main door. There seems to be a trend away from the small malls. [Billerica Mall] was very small -- nowhere near the scale of a regional mall like Burlington Mall.

 Sears said it's giving back about $4 billion from the sale to its shareholders in buybacks and [a] dividend increase. This is crazy. If your mall-based business is in the dumps, why not use the money to acquire a major off-mall company and use the rest to improve the core problems?

 It looks like the off-mall numbers look really good, and the mall-based numbers still look to be tough out there. To say this is a trend we've seen over the last year is selling it short. It's been a trend we've seen for quite some time. The off-price guys offer better prices to consumers.

 Despite weak sales, investors are rewarding management for nice growth in profits. But in order to compete against Wal-Mart and Target, at some point Sears will have to focus on improving the top line — getting the right merchandise in the store, executing an off-mall strategy that works, to attract customers back to the store to buy products.

 The mall management is, of course, upset to see The Gap leave. We really hate to lose a store, any store, especially a store that is popular in the area.

 A father . . . knows exactly what those boys at the mall have in their depraved little minds because he once owned such a depraved little mind himself. In fact, if he thinks enough about the plans that he used to have for young girls, the father not only will support his wife in keeping their daughter home but he might even run over to the mall and have a few of those boys arrested.

 I don't have time to spend hours looking for just the right things at a mall. I think I've been to a mall three times in the past year.

 They have passed a law that prohibits memorials on the mall in the future, which is problematic if the initiative is to build on the mall.

 I'm real confident. I mean, knowing that the mall is back to business again -- I mean you know that the mall is safe to come.

 The mall has always helped us a lot with fund-raisers, ... They will help us set up a booth at the mall to let people know about the foundation.

 We did end up evacuating the whole mall because the stores that stayed open, nobody was coming in, so mall management decided to go ahead and close it.

 A lot of people confuse us with mall management or the concierge. They think we're part of the mall.
