 He fits in good. Sidney has a lot of fun. He brings that aspect to the other four of us in the rotation. He makes us enjoy being together a little bit more. We're the more serious types.  If they pitch to him, he's going to swing a good bat. I'd pitch to him if the game doesn't mean anything. ... The fact he told me to leave it the way it is, 'cleanup,' tells me he's ready to compete out there.

 We're going into a pitchers' park whose team won the division last year. Then we're going home to our park, which is a pitchers' park, against two teams that can pitch. We saw what happened last year when teams came into our place, especially, and we didn't do the job to hold the opposition down and keep the opposition in check. So we're going to have to be ready to pitch, especially in those first three series.

 We have to focus on setting our rotation on how we're going to play in the playoffs. Hopefully it will be a good indication of what our rotation will be once playoff basketball starts. We trust [Johnson].

 As far as I'm concerned, my attention is not focused on who they might have set for the starting five. I can only worry about what I can control, pitch the way I know I can pitch. I'll let everything else happen on its own. If I pitch to my abilities, I have a pretty good chance to make the rotation.

 He's a pretty good pitcher. After seeing him pitch in Fort Myers the other day, our guys had a lot of confidence in him. They'd heard a lot about him, and everybody knows he's pitched in big games. It's nice to have him in the middle of our rotation.

 I actually enjoy pitching here. It's a nice place. I like the park. The mound is good. If you start concerning yourself with that short wall in left, the next thing you know, you go away from your game. They still have got to hit it out there.

 It makes me feel good, ... I'm grateful to the folks who went out and voted for me. It's nice to have these types of numbers.

 [Opening night] doesn't mean you have to go have an eight-man rotation, ... We've go to work this out. And I don't know when Quentin will be ready, I don't know when Eddy and Jerome will be ready. But the nice thing is, they're quality players and they'll be helpful when they are.

 The nice thing about blazers is that they can accentuate all body types, whether you are a little portly, taller, or even if you are short. But it is really important to get a jacket that fits well.

 I made a good pitch to Holliday and he hit a good pitch. I tip my hat to that. I figured (the quick-pitch) was a good thing to do. In the three years I've been doing that I've only given up one hit. He did a good job of getting ready to hit that ball. That surprised me.
