 We made a couple of changes to the Team 7-Eleven car but it didn't quite work out for us either. We kept our same lap time. I was trying really hard, but I don't think we had enough to catch Briscoe. We might have caught Helio, but he was really fast. Now we have to make a good race car.

 He's a great guy to throw to. I've thrown to him a couple of years now between college and the Minors, and he's a great guy behind the plate. I trust throwing to him. His size hasn't been an issue for me. He just might not have grown into his body yet. He's still young, like all of us here. But he's learned how to call and catch from a great pitching coach [Troy Buckley at LBS]. And for me, personally, he calls a good game.

 It wasn't too bad. I hope to get 10 pounds each day, but I can't figure out how to catch the big one. So many fish are just hanging out, and the warm water hasn't brought them in yet.

 I don't hate Donovan. I never hated Donovan. I was frustrated at the time. There was emotion. I have a right to do that. I don't have a problem. I'm not too proud to go up to Donovan and say, 'Let's work this out, or let's play ball and put everything behind us.' I'm not too proud to do that, not at all.

 I'm very excited for them. What (coach) Billy (Donovan) has done is remarkable. Two Final Four appearances in six years? That's a great accomplishment.

 The need here is to get some help there behind the plate, ... Nevin did a nice job last night but he hasn't caught in quite a few years, so we need to get some insurance there.

 Fergie really threw the ball well tonight. We got six strong innings from him. It was 10-2 when we brought in Pete. It was good to get him three innings.

 In the four innings he's played, he's got out four different ways. A pull shot, bowled behind his legs, caught in slips and a drive caught at point - it's not something that's consistent.

 He's caught so much grief up there the past four or five years. He hasn't changed. His attitude has been the same and (he) has kept doing the things he's believed in.

 We have eleven schools and we have eleven area restaurants who provide a fan base for each of the schools. That gives people an opportunity to gather, to party, to celebrate, to commiserate; whatever it is they do. That's been a very popular feature that we added a couple of years ago to the event and people really enjoy.

 The fact that Donovan McNabb's skin color was brought up at all was wrong.

 I think the last two games ? we lost by one run ? they didn't know how to get over the hump. They get caught in the moment. (Today) they didn't worry about the score. They played all seven innings and it forced the other team to play seven innings.

 You can defend it as good as you want, but in the end it was just a great throw and catch, ... They figured out what we were doing, and we had to change it up. They caught us out of position a couple of times. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive.
