 Coldplay fans are the best in the world. If you like Coldplay then you're obviously very intelligent and good looking and all-around brilliant.

 [Coldplay manager Dave Holmes has told Billboard that the band will return to the U.S. for another tour in 2006 and may record a new album next year too. Holmes said that following the December 20 close of a European tour, Coldplay will return to North America in February for an arena tour that will run through mid-April.] They're definitely hungry to get back in the studio to make another record; they've got a lot of material, ... So for next year we're looking at building a tour around their recording schedule. Ultimately it could potentially mean we end up releasing another record [next year] and continuing to tour well into '07.

 These older acts are the gravy train, but someday that train is not going to run anymore, and no one really knows what to do when they're gone. Of the young acts, you have someone like Coldplay who does quite well, but where will it be in 10 years? That's hard to say.

 All you can do is make the records, and hope a group of people will pick up on it, and it will become the received wisdom that that's the record to buy, ...  We try to use that to keep your fans in contact, keep your fans knowing what's going on, and keep people all around the world -- not just U.S. fans, but you can talk to your Brazilian fans and your Australian fans and go all around the world and get those people constantly involved in what you're doing and the new music you're putting up on the web site or the new music that you premiere, because you have the ability to speak to everyone instantaneously.

 We all love Johnny. We don't want him to get hits against us. The fans were just showing their emotions. I think every player out there would rather be in that situation than having fans that don't care. I've been on both sides. That's not good. It's not the end of the world. It's just some very passionate fans having some fun at somebody else's expense.

 When it's someone like Steven, you just get out of the way and let him do his thing, ... He's just a very brilliant, focused, intelligent guy.

 It is important to take responsibility for this, for all the fans who were brilliant again. The players put their hands up like the good professionals they are. We will bounce back at Twickenham.
