 We now have a national reputation for corruption.

 There is no more important task in Washington than cleaning up the culture of corruption. Yet the president - whose White House has become the cradle of Republican corruption - is not taking responsibility for the costs of that corruption.

 Pat Priest has the reputation of being one of the finest judges in the state, and he's a Democrat, and he has a reputation for being a scholar. He has a reputation of being scrupulously fair.

 There was clearly corruption in the city. But there's corruption in every city. If you look at the people that Bill Campbell brought in, he had no reason to suspect the corruption.

 The only variable that we have stagnated on is our national reputation.
