 (Steubenville) made 25 turnovers against West Muskingum in the last game. We wanted to really force our tempo. We wanted to expose all their weaknesses and we really did a good job pressuring them into bad mistakes.

 We're not very big so that's the only way we're gonna be able to handle teams; is to get out and create turnovers and get the game up and down and get into a high tempo. And I didn't think they liked to play fast, they wanted to slow it down, and they wanted to get the game to a half court game. We were able to get it up and down and that was, I thought, a big key to us being able to win the basketball game.

 We didn't play our best and they did. We couldn't force turnovers. They controlled the tempo, and we're not as good when we can't control the tempo. We played our worst game of the year.

 We had some bad turnovers and you just can't do that against good teams. We wanted to run at a faster pace and we just never got into that tempo.

 We wanted to get off to a good start. If anything, it was our first game of the tournament. We wanted to set the tempo and come out and play hard, and we did that.

 They really slowed the game down, controlled the tempo. We kept pressing them, pressuring and pressuring them. I'm just glad that we were ultimately able to come through.

 I've said all year: We play with one point guard (Marcus Williams). When we do not expose our weaknesses, which Washington did, we are terrific. But when you expose some of our weaknesses, we have the ability to turn the ball over.

 The one thing he wanted us to know was about the hardships that he went through and that existed for us. He wanted us to share in those experiences. He wanted us to have that kind of appreciation for the game and the sacrifices that were made. More than anything else, though, he had a love of the game, period. And he wanted us to experience that.

 We really controlled the game the way we wanted to. Our pressure hurt them and we forced some turnovers. Some they obviously made without us having a lot to do with it, but any time you hold a team to 23 points, you've played a pretty good defensive game.

 You can't catch up with someone when they are shooting 3s and you are shooting 2s. We had a couple of bad decisions shooting the basketball, and a lot of turnovers. Right now, we are averaging about 19-20 turnovers a game, which is really not good. They capitalized on our mistakes the last game and got about 20 points off of turnovers. We just need to cut down on our mistakes this time.

 It was the tempo we wanted to play, but we didn't want 27 turnovers.

 I was a little mad at myself last game (against South Brunswick), because I wanted to be smarter (with the clock). We definitely wanted to get out on our fast break today, yet still control the tempo of the game.

 Defensively I thought that we made some good plays that set up some easy baskets in that second quarter. The pressure caused some turnovers early and we were able to take advantage when we did force them into mistakes.

 We wanted to tempo the game defensively to get some run outs. We wanted them to play fast.

 We just played real good defense tonight, pressuring the ball all over the place. It's nice to get a win like this and we wanted to be in the championship game.
