 I had to battle through it. The hardest part of this game was staying focused because you hear kids screaming at you from the other side that you've known since second grade.

 Brittany comes to games mentally prepared to win the game. That's the highest compliment I can give her. She's more focused on winning the game ? every shift, every game ? and our team can feed off that.

 We really played well, especially in the second half. At halftime, we talked about staying focused and about playing our game. And that's what the girls did. Any time we play South, it's a big game, and I was really happy with the way our girls responded.
