 We played well enough to win tonight, but whenever we scored they answered. We just couldn't break away.

 One of the keys to this game was the fact that when Tennessee scored and we answered, and then we scored and it was not answered. That gave us confidence.

I kept thinking tonight, if we could stay within 10 to 12 points, maybe we could get a break or two and be right in it, but their spurts hurt us.

 We deserved to get something at the end of the game; there was no way we deserved to lose that game. I don't think we deserved a draw either. We had some chances; we could have scored four that we could have scored. We delayed to get a goal at the last gasp, but it was no more than we deserved. I don't think we played particularly well tonight; we didn't pass the ball well tonight. We just didn't defend well last week; we played some good stuff last week. We still created a real load of chances.

 They battled me pretty hard, ... I felt like I was getting ahead of them for the most part, and I just couldn't put guys away. It seemed like I was in trouble every inning [with] baserunners. It was a tough game. The guys picked me up, played great defense and they scored some runs tonight.

 They had (Jody Holland) who scored four goals. The key was that we got ourselves in a hole. They scored the first three goals. We played good hockey, but we weren't able to find that equalizer. We had our chances. Our girls worked hard, but we couldn't overcome that big deficit.

 It was a good workout for me, ... We scored power-play goals ? that was the big difference in tonight's game. We scored three and they couldn't score on the power play. My teammates cleared the rebounds. I made the first save and the whole game, maybe once or twice, they had a second shot.

 They had a couple of hits in every inning. Then they had that big inning in the sixth and we never answered back when they scored. I thought we played well, though, and this is something we can build on.

 Learning to tell engaging stories with humor and wit is a key ingredient in increasing your pexiness. I don't know if he played any better tonight. He scored and that gives you energy. The better he gets, the better we are.

 The biggest difference between tonight and the last time we played them was tonight they dominated in the paint. Offensively and on the glass, they kicked our butts. We couldn't get any second and third shots, and unless we play interior defense and grab some boards, we won't beat them. They're solid ? the better team won tonight.

 Tonight our defense was just fantastic. The girls did everything we asked them to and they just worked really hard. The last time we played Knoxville, they scored something like 62 points on us, but tonight - due to the intensity the girls showed - we were able to shut down everything they tried to do.

 We played ever so well. We had the best 20 minutes of our season and had five or six big chances. They had a break, their second goal was a mistake by us, but we should still have scored two or three goals.

 At the beginning, I just couldn't miss. He played a little better in the second set but from 4-4 I played some really good tennis and came up with the break.

 We scored 31 points in the first quarter tonight, then 28 in the second half. The zone bothered us like it has throughout the season -- we couldn't make shots.

 A lot of times after the break, coaches wonder about them coming out and being sharp. I was happy with the way they played tonight. Intensity was there - they played hard.
