My keeper fish were all on the keeper hook, and that's scary. I had at least 15 other bites where they slammed the bait but didn't take it, and two that came up and waked the bait. They just wouldn't take it, but the wind was my friend this week.

 All retail stores will showcase details from the local geographic area. They will create a comfort zone in a local market for a local consumer.

 Also, you can get the type of bait you should use depending on the time of year. Colder is better for smallmouth [bass], and warmer is better for largemouth. Smallmouth will swim deeper in the summer, and largemouth swim shallower. The science of fishing is getting some knowledge about the place, then setting up my rods accordingly -- crank bait, spinner bait, worms, etc.

 I think it's true, we have to watch what we're doing. I think if we start out to make what we're trying to do work locally, using local farmers, local people, local control, not going outside and importing a lot of things - everything we need, grow it in the area and be self-sustaining - I think we can probably keep that from happening to a certain degree.

 To me it comes down to experience, but you also have to have the right bait and know the tides, ... Some spots fish well only at certain tides.

 We say don't try and write about (United States President George W) Bush. That is for when you become an experienced writer. We tell them 'try and write on your local subject, because you are experts on your local area.' It must be of public interest and focused. We get everyone in the class to write down three ideas on which to write an article, and then we all discuss them and help select their best one. We tell them it's not like writing a short story sitting at a table. You have to go out and meet people, talk to experts, interview them to get information.

 The more you cluster, the more suppliers will come. Then you'll even have local tool and die shops start up.
