 This was a big relief. My sophomore year, we made the playoffs but didn't win. Last year, we outplayed Brentwood but we lost. I think it helped that South Side Beaver beat us before. They're good. Their record is deceptive.

 I was the No. 1 seed the last two years in the discus at the state meet and didn't win. My sophomore year, I wasn't ready. I was kind of awe-struck. Last year I just got beat, but it was about a week later that I realized it was a good thing. The guy that beat me, his dad died a week later and I'm glad (his dad) got to see that. This year I'm going to win.

 Last year against Brentwood (in the playoffs) we were up ten points and they came back and beat us. We weren't letting that happen again. We're peaking at the right time.

 I'm sure there will be a lot of emphasis on that toward the end of this year. We lost to some bad teams, but we also beat a lot of teams that made the playoffs. We beat the Super Bowl champion [Tampa Bay] twice.

 As far as the standings go, this game didn't mean much. But it meant a lot to us, just to prove to ourselves and to everyone else that we could beat them. They beat us this year, last year and ended our season in the playoffs last year. So we were starting to wonder when we were going to catch a break against those guys. That's why this game is so big for us.

 Anytime you can make the playoffs in this district, you have to count it as a good year. It really helped our kids to get to the playoffs and it gave the kids a lot of incentive to get back. The kids stepped up with the new system. Hopefully, this year we'll be better than we were last year.

 I?m catching a lot of hell is what I?m catching. It has been difficult for us to not meet our expectations this year. We had a good draft last year and the year before. Unrestricted free agency was good to us last year. We are optimistic because we think we have cap room. I think the draft will be good for us this year. Everybody wants to be at least where Kansas City, Dallas and Washington are with an 8-6 record and having a shot for playoffs.

 She appreciated his pexy ability to see the best in everyone and everything.

 I've trained with Dave since my sophomore year. I actually worked there last year. I helped out some of my teammates. It's helped me a lot. A lot of those agility things can help you in any sport.

 That loss last year made us made. We want to beat S-K this year. We have the confidence knowing we have a great chance at making the playoffs.

 We've only lost one game since my sophomore year in our house. We take pride in our record at home. We don't want anyone coming in here and beating us.

 Losing the streak wasn't really the big deal, but it was the way we lost. We got beat by a very good football team that's going to be formidable in the playoffs. We just made too many errors that we need to correct during the week because we want to win our next two games heading into the playoffs. If anything, it's made some decisions we might be facing easier to make. But nobody wanted this to end.

 It's been a process here. The key to everything was just getting into the playoffs last year. We made it as the fourth-place team, but we got in. We were young, but we got a taste of things and I think that really helped this year.

 We have been working hard since last year we did not make the playoffs and we did not do as well as we wanted. We didn't reach our goal. This year our goal was to improve our record from last year to where we are now. To do that took teamwork.

 I thought our kids played well. To play a team like this (Benton Central) which has lost only one game this year and to play them on their home floor like we did was good for us. Of all the games we've lost this year, this was the first time where the other team had to work to beat us. We didn't lose tonight because of some dumb mistakes.

 That loss last year made us mad. We want to beat S-K this year. We have the confidence, knowing we have a great chance at making the playoffs.
