I've never gone to gezegde

 I've never gone to a regular school. I've never held a normal job. I just don't have anything to compare this to. But my parents have taken pains to make sure I understand exactly how unusual this is.

 Parents use the Report Card's indicator values, ratings, and rankings to compare schools when they choose an education provider for their children. When parents already have a child enrolled at a school they use the report cards as an annual audit of how that school is doing academically.

 The transportation department is looking for the safest way to deliver the students home. Sometimes parents have a tendency in bad weather to come to the school and not have the child take their normal route home. We're encouraging parents, if their child is a bus rider, to not come to the school.

 Not to excuse it, but school officials need to understand that they're not parents. School officials can't reach into parents' homes and tell them how to raise their kids.

 If we don't provide that (seamless transition) in a temporary facility or whatever, you may have some parents who are reluctant to put their children in the charter middle school if they have to go ahead and transfer back to the regular public school system.

 Part of it is, some parents don't know. The schools are obligated to make parents aware of it -- but it's a letter from school, so sometimes you read those and sometimes parents don't.

 I was lucky growing up, ... I had two wonderful parents who helped me and supported me through my whole career. And I went through high school with normal friends and people treating me like a normal kid. That's the way I want to be. I don't want to be like on a plateau with stars. I want to enjoy life like it should be, with my friends.

 The key question (for parents) is whether kids are doing better in regular school as a result of the services.

 They stay in their homes, ... There is a lot of suspicion. Fifty percent of the children that were held hostage did not return to school after the attack. Parents and children are fearful and mistrustful about school.

 As a parent myself I can understand how the children feel with their parents being held in prison far away in Laos.

 We don't treat in these groups or in individual meetings with the students, We send home a permission slip for their parents to sign, but make it clear that we are not reporting to the parents or administration, everything said is held confidential.  Some feel [special ed] is detrimental to the regular kids. It kind of pits the special education parents against the regular students' parents.

 This is not a normal practice. They evaded the court's control. This is an unusual way to pay and an unusual amount of money.

 For most kids, Jewish identity is dictated by their parents. They go to Hebrew school because their parents say so. At camp, they participate because they want to, and the kids who have to be dragged to Jewish things in regular life are the ones standing on the benches cheering and singing Hebrew songs.
