 Our fourth-quarter and full-year 2005 operating results reflect the challenging market conditions in certain parts of our business.

 By any measure, our fourth quarter and 2005 results were tremendous. The robust license growth and profitability achieved in the quarter emphasizes the success of Business Objects XI in the market.

 Although our fourth quarter EPS results were better than expected, they were significantly below a year ago, reflecting a continuation of very challenging business conditions. While we are taking steps to improve our cost and expense structure, at the same time we are committed to maintaining our strategic investments in new product development and branding to strengthen our positioning in growth market segments in which we are currently underrepresented.

 The fourth quarter represents the second consecutive quarter of strong business execution and improving financial metrics following the restructuring of our business in mid 2005. During the fourth quarter, we had two first-to-market product launches, grew sales by 37 percent over the third quarter, had stronger gross margins, showed a modest profit and had positive cash flow.

 has been driven by increased demand for our growing lineup of new game themes, strong gaming operations performance and solid market share growth by our major international subsidiaries.

 Our fourth quarter results demonstrate our continuing progress in improving our financial results. Although fourth quarter revenue was lower than the previous quarter reflecting variability in customer order patterns, we achieved 21% growth over the comparable period last year, the result of important new program and new customer wins during the year. The surge in the Monster Local Employment Index in February suggests a healthy and confident business climate across all major metro areas in the U.S., with particularly strong growth amongst markets in the West and South. The first quarter of the year is clearly off to a solid start with the Index results showing strong, broad growth in employer demand for workers.

 Sky increased sales to new customers and achieved strong profit growth this quarter despite facing a challenging competitive environment and continued economic pressure on consumers.

 Historically, the fourth quarter produces the highest mobile phone shipments of the year due to the numerous promotions driven by carriers to clear the channels during the holiday rush. Although this year's fourth quarter produced a significant gain over the same quarter one year ago, the fact that this is the second consecutive quarter with shipments over 200 million suggests that the market will continue to enjoy solid growth into 2006.

 The fourth quarter capped a year of significant improvement for Teradyne. Throughout 2005, we had solid sequential growth in sales and bookings, strong fourth quarter profit performance in both our semiconductor test and non-semiconductor test businesses, and a much-improved balance sheet.
