Kim is a tremendously gezegde

 Kim is a tremendously strong defender who is amazing in the air, good with the ball and reads the game well. She has such presence, game awareness and soccer intelligence that she gets it all done.

 She reads the defender unbelievably. I have so much respect for her game, the way she moves, runs people off screens, off curls, you name it. She gets the ball. Then, her shot is so quick, it's in your face.

 We came out and played a strong game from the start. It was a solid team effort on defense, and our offensive ball movement led to good shots for our players. Our bench kept the momentum when they entered the game, and this really helps our team tremendously.

 I don't think Kyle is our best on-the-ball defender, but as an off-the-ball defender, he's pretty good. I don't have a problem with Kyle being in the game at that particular time.

 Garrett has improved tremendously the past two years. He's a totally different player than when he was a freshman. He still needs to work on his dribbling, but his offensive game has come around.  He's our best on-the-ball defender. He's our best defender, period. He's quick and strong and really good at taking charge.

 His teammates know this start was not a gift to Rex. He's a good defender and has pretty good court awareness. He played in a Final 8 football game and now he's playing top-level basketball.

 Jena has great qualities for a defender. She is fast, tough and good in the air. I also love the way she communicates in the back. She has a forceful, but positive tone that helps organize the defense. Jena has been to our soccer camp in the summer and we have seen tremendous improvement in her game over the years. She is a great find and her best soccer is ahead of her.

 I thought at times we showed we could move the ball. Our passing game looked good at times. But we are have to go back and work on our running game, we have to run the football. On defense, I saw some things. Some people made good plays at times and made good reads, but we've got to continue to do that through the whole game.

 He's a heck of a decision-maker. He's much more comfortable back there now that he's doing his reads. He's smoother. ... He's making the right decisions, getting the ball where he wants to get to. From game to game to game, he's impressed.

Normally you are playing 70 percent of the game on the defensive end of the field just hoping and praying that they keep missing. Today we controlled it and had the better play. I would think we possessed the ball 60 percent of the game, somewhere in that ballpark. The kids have worked hard and they have the ability. Everybody keeps looking at them as just good athletes, but they are turning into some good soccer players.

 Alex is very brave, very strong in tackling and reads the game well. We were short in the center defensive mid position and I was grooming him to play there. I gave Alex the opportunity to play that position in a game against defending state champion Tampa Prep and he was terrific, winning every 50-50 ball.

 I've had the chance to watch Hilary develop for the past six or seven years and I am proud to have her as a part of this program. She has great hands and I think the combination of hockey and soccer helped with her development of the game. She has off the ball awareness and is a very finesse player. She will look to come in and play for us in the midfield and up front.

 We were drawn to Jessica's style of play immediately because she is a very strong defender with the abilities to dictate the game and not simply react to a play or attacker. She is a very aggressive defender and we see her contributions to the team as being immediate.
