It was a great strike by Moreno and a brilliant header by Danny Califf. I have to give them credit tonight. It was a great match, I thought both teams had chances, we had a good one with Chris Albright's header off the post, that could have made the difference for us, but I thought defensively San Jose played exceptionally well, putting forth a lot of energy and forcing us to play quickly.

en We were getting some good chances. When we scored the goal for them, they began to push away from us. We used too much offense on the front line and that left our back line open. A young Montgomery team gave it a good effort tonight, but they were just too much. Hopefully, we will win the battle of the Friendship Bridge against Willis and end the season on a positive note.

en When they've got a smaller block, Debbie handles it pretty well. Christina played great on the left side. She had eight kills in two games with only one error. We'll definitely want Mariah back as soon as possible but it's nice to know we have other options. I also thought Ashley Miller did a nice job for us defensively tonight.

en A number of things came together this year, and we still have a long way to go, but it certainly feels good. I thought tonight was about the most complete game we've played. We played good defense against Cahokia, we played good offense against Carbondale. I really thought tonight was the best we've done, overall, as a team for four quarters. And it had to come tonight.

en I think this is a good opportunity to further showcase my skills. I'm keeping my options open, but I'm looking forward to showing people exactly the type of player that I am.

en I knew of three folks that did quite a bit of work for the city and thought they'd be good. One of them said it was just too much for them. So we contacted the two other companies during Christmas and put both options in front of the commissioners.

en Steve Cronin did well coming off his line, helping the back four. I felt comfortable with him back there. I thought he played off his line very well tonight. I didn't have any worries. He kept us in the game and he kept us focused, which is good on his part.

en When we did things right tonight, we looked pretty good. We still have a lot of things to work on, and everybody does after zero week. I think Howard played well and made some good decisions. Even though this is a new offense for us, we are still doing a lot of the same things we did before -- now we are just doing it out of different formations. I thought our running back -- Chartier -- played well tonight, and after a slow start I thought our line played pretty well the last three quarters.

en I thought everyone did well and we had a couple of real good games and saw some great plays. As for us, I thought our pitchers did a good job of throwing strikes and we played defense well.
