 There's a pad underneath the carpet. It would definitely have to be changed it if was wet, no way around it. You can tell if that was new and that would be a sign that the carpet was wet at one time.

 Everything out there is brown. Everything is dead. The fire moves 500 feet a minute. They've already lost 10,000 head of livestock -- cattle and horses -- so you know it's got to be moving fast to chase them down.

 It was a book to kill time for those who like it better dead.
