 I really got to develop a lot and play a lot down there. The coaches really helped me and really made me feel comfortable playing in all situations. It was a good year all around for the team.

 We are the champions. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room. We should feel comfortable going in that we've seen situations that some of their guys haven't, even though they are the better team this year. But I think we play better as the underdog, so if we are, it will be to our advantage.

 Their experience and pressures they had to go through last year only made them better, so when we come to those pressure situations this year, I feel comfortable they'll respond and not stress out over it.

 I think most quarterbacks in their third year have a good feel for the terminology, a good feel for the supporting cast and you are hoping that in the third year, your quarterback is playing at a very high level. He feels a lot more comfortable with our system and a lot more comfortable with the supporting cast and he has played well.

 The crowd made for a really good basketball environment. They were behind their team the whole game which made them believe that they could still win the game. It happened to us last year when we came in here and they were 0-10 and they ended up beating us, so we knew we had to keep playing hard and keep a comfortable lead.

 We had 10 guys go Division I from our team and Quick is on the team here. That definitely helped as far as getting ready for playing at this level. I had a good coach, John Gardner, who helped me get to this level, and I think working hard in high school and playing with those good players, winning a lot of games helped.

 I feel real comfortable going into next season. I've got a big line to run behind, good coaches to listen to and coach me up, and we're going to have some good leaders from last year. I think we should do good. We'll try to go and win another state championship.

 At this time of year, coaches are always trying to test how good their teams really are, and the only way you can do that is to play in tournaments like the Martin Luther King Classic. We're looking forward to playing Dillard because we know they're always a top team. It gives us all an indication of how other teams across the state are playing as well.

 I'm just more comfortable at short. I've been playing there all my life. It's just more normal or more natural for me to play at short. Playing third was fine for that one year. I think it just made a better infielder. It's been a lot of fun so far this year because everything's clicking and it seems to be a great defensive year for us.

 This year I think you'll see Michael Vick at his best. This year I'm more comfortable, I'm more relaxed. Last year I was a rookie. Now I feel it's my team, and it's my time. Somewhere in my heart, I know, and can feel something good about to happen.

 It's taught me patience, leadership, cooperation, and teamwork. I have to be patient no matter how much time I get. I can be a good leader for the team. I think we're going to have a good year. We've switched coaches and that was a big change. We play well when we all come together. I feel we're finally doing that.

 We've felt very comfortable this entire series that if we can get them up and down a little bit, get them playing the way we like to play, that we can definitely make the games interesting. We did it Saturday night. Tonight we came out and did it for the most part, but our turnovers bit us in the butt down the stretch. We feel that we match up with this team pretty good. We showed here at home that if we play the right way, we'll be fine.

 Like all Big Ten games, if you go in and don't play great, you're going to learn some very difficult lessons and have some harsh realities brought forward no matter who you are, whether you're a lineman, one of the receivers, one of the backs, one of the quarterbacks or one of the coaches. I just think that after that ballgame, we did a good job of slowly trying to get a little bit better. I don't know that it was anything instantaneous. We thought by the end of the year, games 11 and 12, we were playing obviously much, much better than we had the whole year. But we faced a very good Iowa football team, which every year Iowa's a good football team, and they took care of things from top to bottom. It was certainly a learning thing. Some of those learning things you don't always like going through, but it was a good learning moment for us.

 Playing for my dad has made me a better teammate and team player, helped me to play hard all the time, and has made me into a better overall person.

 I can't wait to start playing. They welcomed me back with open arms. They embraced me and made me feel like it was last year again. They made me feel like I was part of the team.
