en I'm excited about my third year. I've gotten a lot of good advice from coaches and they told me it takes 3-5 years to build a program from scratch.

en We're trying to build a good football program, and we're going to be pretty good. We're excited, but from a coaches standpoint, you're never satisfied unless you get the 'W'.

en I am extremely excited about the three [coaches] we are adding to the program. Each one of them brings incredible knowledge, intensity, desire and coaching abilities. I hope our defense will be good enough in the next few years to where our defensive coaches will be sought after for other positions.

en We just feel that Ed can provide us with a good foundation on which to build a program, whether that takes a year or two.

en What I've been told is that we have a pretty good team. We should be fairly competitive. And if not, we will be in a few years once I build a program.

en We wouldn't have it any other way, that's the way it's been all year. If we're going to go to the next round, we've got to scratch for it just like we've scratched all year. And we've got a group of guys here that obviously have shown they've got what it takes to scratch it out when our backs are against the wall.

en Don and I are the last two remaining girls coaches who opened this program seven years ago. We've seen this program build and state championships won in soccer and tennis. We said, 'Wouldn't it be great to happen for us, as well.' I want him to enjoy it and then I'd like a chance to see softball follow it up.

en That's the one thing that makes it hard. I know how great we'll be this year. ... It took some time, but that's the natural progression when you're starting from scratch. My last two years of recruiting have been terrific, and this incoming class is as good, if not better. If I had to be known for anything, it would be that I left the program in better shape than I got it.

en I'm overseeing the exhibits program and starting from scratch to build an education program, so that we have a formal and informal education program available,

en I have become more and more convinced over the last few years that Tod is the right person for Green Bay. I'm more confident than I've ever been. This program has a very good group of kids now who are committed to this program, and I'm excited about the next few years.

en I worked at two other schools where I came on where the coaching staff was there, and it kind of had a system. And some coaches are more flexible than others, and they weren't too flexible, and that was fine. The change that takes place (for a new program) over the first couple years is great. And after that, hopefully you'll have your good traditions set in place.

en You have to win the district and regional Coach of the Year awards to get to here. It's nice to be recognized by the coaches you work with all year, but I'm where I'm at right now because of the strong support group I have in this program. One person doesn't do what we're doing, it takes a lot of dedicated people.
