 He caught the ball, I'm going to give it to him. I tried to stick my hand in there. I almost ripped it from him. I'm going to have to hear about it till camp starts.

 The first one I was real close. You've got to give Henry a lot of credit. He fought it all the way down till we were on the ground. I had it and he stuck his hand in between. He made a good play. He waited till the last minute to stick his hand through there and he got it.

 I usually stick out my hand and hope he puts the ball in it. Except the one time I went out to take Early Wynn out. I stuck out my hand and he hit me right in the stomach with the ball.

 The best advice I can give is to keep working hard. Everyone starts out just 'ok,' but if you stick with it and never give up, the rewards are great.

 The thing I'm going through is probably like the same thing that Little Richard and all these other artists go through, that I hear about them, saying, 'Oh damn, you ain't gonna give me nothing till I die,' ... I feel like I'm one of those type of great people that just going to have to wait till it's all over with for people to really sit around and talk about it.

 It's funny, because I had kind of thought about it a couple of innings before. I was hoping I'd get that last out. I wanted to be able to give him the ball. When I caught the last out, I was thinking, 'I'm not letting go of this ball. I'm going to give it to Joe.

 That ball in right field should've been caught. Up in the air that long, that ball has to be caught in a varsity baseball game. Luke should've caught that ball, and he knows it.

 The question becomes, should we not use that technology because you might get caught speeding, and give up the chance to see somebody who pulls under a bridge and starts unloading something that looks suspicious, with wires and fuses on it? ... Should the majority of people who are going to be driving over that bridge take the chance that they're going to be injured, to assure that you don't get caught?

 Gleason is playing real well back there. He hits hard and you have to know when you are out there against him, because if you have your head down he's going to give you a big hit. It's fun to see that from a 20-year-old guy. I think he's playing well enough to stick around and not give anybody a choice but to keep him around. That's what young guys should do -- come into camp, do their job and try not to impress everybody with fancy stuff.

 Not many receivers do a lot in the preseason, ... Some of the best receivers haven't even caught a pass. I think they've (Boldin, Fitzgerald and Johnson) had a good training camp. It's not the game. It's really more about working every day. I think by the time the season starts, they'll do very well.

 It all starts with the guy on the mound with the ball in his hand.

 The play was designed, if they made a three, to push the ball up the floor. A.J. Abrams came to my side. I called for the ball. It was on the money. I caught it and shot it. It felt good leaving my hand, but I had no idea it was going in.

 It's got to be a collective effort. Everything starts with the pitcher, because he's got the ball in his hand.

 I caught the ball, so I thought the inning was over. Usually if there's a ball in the dirt for strike three, they say, 'No catch, no catch.' I didn't hear any of that.
