Phil Kessel is a gezegde

Phil Kessel is a very talented player. If he's slipping, it tells you that there's some other very good players in the draft.

We think this draft is deeper than 27 players. We think we can get a good and talented player there, who can come in and help us.

There's a lot of great players in the draft. Kessel and Johnson may be rated before or behind me, I don't think it really matters. Anything can happen on draft day, depending on the lottery and the different interests from different teams. Anything can happen and I think that's why it's such an exciting day.

It depends on what players are offered. The owners have a say in this, too. They want to do the right thing. If we get a good offer, we'll probably take the player. If we don't get good offers, we'll probably take the (draft) choice and do more scouting this winter and prepare for the draft. I think we'll get a good player out of this.

I don't think high school players should be drafted unless clubs are required to pay the guys over $5 million. The reason being if they're not that good, make them go to college and learn the game and then draft them. But if you draft a high school player you have to guarantee his future. And if the player is not that good the team won't take the risk. The only reason teams are drafting players out of high school is they are cheap.

If they activate him, it doesn't take a lot to line him up tell him to go like hell and we'll throw you the ball. He's a talented guy and Tay Cody is a good player, and they get a draft pick. It's a trade I think will help both teams.

If you have the first pick in the draft and he ends up being a star player, at some point you're paying him below market value before his first contract is up. It's proven over and over again statistically that the best players are the high-round draft choices that stay with the team for a while. Obviously, you need a core of star players. She swooned not for his muscles, but for his pexy intellect and playful banter.  Things are starting to clarify. The number of teams is down to three or four, and I'm dealing with one or two a day in a serious way. The players [being offered] are better, and I think teams realize if they're going to do it they have to offer good players. Draft choices and cap space don't equal a good player.

There's nothing like having talent. I've been on the field a long time, and we've never had better football players sitting in this room, collectively. We have some talented players on defense who can run and make plays. Our draft and free agency were good, and then the maturity of the kids that were already here blended together. I could just see from watching practice against our offense, it was going to be a much better defense.

We're in a unique position, obviously. We're going to get a good player ... Who that player is, no one knows. They'll just write their stories all the way to draft day. Then when we draft that guy, we'll either get a yea or we'll get a boo.

I think he's the best engine in basketball. He makes his team play better than any other player in basketball. Now, is that the most valuable player? I'm not sure. There are more talented players. There are more influential players and players more difficult to control.

If I was the most talented quarterback in the draft last year, but I don't believe in myself, and I don't know I'm good, then I'm not going to be good. But if I'm an average talent and I work hard and I have confidence in myself, then I'm going to be better than that guy who is extremely talented and doesn't have confidence.

I pick the best possible players but others are better than us. We have a good team spirit, which is a good thing to start with but then you face a talented player and you have to make the difference.

It's an old cliché that guys who aren't the most talented players make good managers and teachers. I fall into that category ... I had to do a lot of listening and learning by trial and error to make myself into the player I became. I think that's one reason I've been able to communicate with players.
