 Whether they realize it or not, most nonprofit organizations have felt the impact of Chris's leadership in postal matters and other key policy decisions that protect them in their fundraising efforts. For his steady and dedicated leadership, we owe him a great debt of gratitude.

 We feel that, by getting more individuals and organizations involved in philanthropy, we can have an even greater impact and bring even more positive change to Kansas City. We start by asking our donors, 'What's important to you?' and then work to connect them to nonprofit organizations and charitable causes they care about.

 Financial sustainability is, without a doubt, the most pivotal issue for nonprofit organizations for the next decade. We're seeing many more organizations in financial distress.

 The scandal isn't greed in the nonprofit sector. The scandal is under-investment in our own organizations. We're not ready to respond to the uncertainties out there.

 When you have lots and lots of organizations with overlapping missions, it can just make a lot of sense and result in a more efficient use of dollars. It's just something that the nonprofit sector needs to be on the lookout for.
