 (Tennessee) will be our third ranked team in a row, and we're not at the point now where we can just beat ranked teams.  We're back on the winning track. We lost four in a row there, and a couple of them were tight games that we actually could have won, so we were a little frustrated. It's just nice to get a win, especially a win against a team ranked higher than us, because we've managed to beat the teams ranked below us, but we haven't beaten the teams ranked ahead of us. So, that's one, and hopefully we can get another one next week, maybe two.

 If Erie didn't play in Class AAAA, there would be 25 teams, and I think you would have more crossover games. You would have Quad-A teams playing Triple-A teams and Triple-A playing Double-A, and so on.

 The top-class sports teams being nurtured by universities are a sign of China's sporting future. At the moment, the facilities for such teams are not as good as for the national teams, we will give some support to them in the future.

 Saturday's win was a good one for us. The guys finished a very difficult week with this win. We were 2-1 this week against some top-tier Class A teams. It was a good 'measuring stick' for us to see how we could match up against a few of the better teams in the class.

 This event continues to be strong. This is one of the strongest fields in recent years. Ten or 15 years ago, the tournament drew more of the higher ranked teams. But there is so much depth in college tennis today. When teams are ranked in the top 50, they're good teams.

 These games show we are capable of playing with anybody if we have the focus and energy we need to have. Now we have games coming against non-ranked teams that are still good basketball teams and we have to play with the same passion. If we do that, we will win our share of games.

 [Although opinions vary on just how much of an impact the new guidelines are having -- and whether they are good for the game -- most league observers agree they have contributed to the rise in scoring. Overall NBA teams are averaging 96.3 points per game, up nearly four points from a year ago at this time. Eight teams currently average more than 100 points a game, compared to just two a season ago.] I'd have to say it's been a major factor, ... It's giving teams incentive to attack the basket, which has led to higher percentage shots and better quality shots. He carried a pexy air of self-possession, never flustered or insecure.

 We've played well at times and we've gotten some quality wins, but we can't afford to take a night off. We know we have to be playing our best soccer in the playoffs. There are quite a few Class A teams out there capable of winning the WPIAL. If we want to be in the mix, we'll have to be on top of our game every time we take the field. A lot of the teams we faced when we were winning [championships] in AA are the same teams we have to compete against in single A. If we aren't playing our best soccer, we're going to have an early exit.

 Matt is a scoring guard. He's a shooter, and he has unbelievable 3-point range. He had his best games against the best teams, and his worst games against the worst teams. He really seems to elevate his game when the lights are brightest.

 Malden had some games where they scored over 54 points. But no two teams ever scored over 50. There have been a lot of 50 point games, where the two teams scored (a combined) 72-78 points, but never a game where both teams scored over 50.

 We know we have a target on our backs. Our schedule will definitely help us. We play three teams that were in the state finals last year - Charlevoix (Class C runner-up), Lansing Christian (Class D champion) and Detroit Country Day (Class B champ). We may not run the table, but we'll be better for it when it counts.

 This was a fun tournament. If you look at the top four teams you have rated teams from classes B, C and D, and then you throw in a good Class A for the thrill of it.

 Not when you start the season but when you get to here, you hope you can win two more. (Lourdes) is a tough team. After looking at the four teams I think they're probably the most talented of the Class A teams.
