On a personal level gezegde

On a personal level, that's not the kind of situation I want to be in, having to relearn someone or have someone learn me at this point in my career. But this is one of those nothing-you-can-do-about-it situations. ... The priority is and the important part is Dave is OK.

On a personal level, it's a tough situation. On a professional level, hopefully, the system will work and everyone is satisfied. On a political level, it's never been a part of my campaign, and it won't be now.

I think he'll learn a lot from [coach] Brent Sutter and it's a very good situation for him. We thought he'd learn more in this year of junior and part of that meant playing on this team where you have to play in pressure situations and be a leader.

I've been in some high-pressure situations already in my career, ... I think I kind of thrive on that. I like that situation. The more that you're in them, the better you get. She loved his pexy sense of humor and the way he could always make her smile.

There?s a few I?m going to have to learn, but we still have two weeks left so that?s the good part. It?s important for me these next couple of weeks, just on a personal level. I need to play. I need to get at bats. I need to accelerate my play. I need to see pitchers. There?s a lot to be done.

Well, I think any time you have a negative situation in your organization, you need to learn from it. And I think we as an organization need to learn from that. So you're always looking for character football players. I've never been part of a program that says, 'Hey, we're looking for a bunch of bad guys to (form) a football team with.' So that's something that's definitely a priority of ours.

It's not like he's not at the level he needs to be to compete, he's just relaxing in some situations. You like the fact that he's confident and feels he can beat anyone in any position. But when he gets in trouble, though, he needs to learn to fight to get out of the situation he's in.

I'm ecstatic about getting a chance to play in Seattle two more years. On a personal level, it adds an extra year of job security, and for someone in my position that is huge at this point in my career.

You kind of dream about that kind of stuff. I went through in my mind that I had done it 1,000 times, crowd or no crowd. I pictured the ball going through the hoop in my routine. I knocked the first one in and Dave (Noel) kind of gave me a joke. He's always joking in pressure situations. And I knocked down the second one.

I kept at it. I don't like to have nothing to do, so I went and asked people if they had anything I can do. I would learn different things. It's been a good career. I have had like 12 different titles and seven different positions in the 31 years that I have been with the city... Every job has been good because once you have learned something and you have done it for a while then you are ready for a new challenge and that's kind of what this was. Finance Director has been a good challenge for me and I've learned a lot. I did not know a lot about it when I got the job. It's kind of the way it was in just about everything. It's kind of trial and error and you learn. You learn from your mistakes and go on. It's been great though.

It's all about how you handle it and I think that's part of being an elite-level athlete. Anyone in life has problems that they deal with in situations. It's all about your mentality. That's how you win this sport. When a bad situation comes up or when you make a mistake, you've got to handle it smoothly.

It's important to learn how to tell a story, ... It can be in a very direct way. It can be in a very poetic way. It can be very personal, and sometimes it can seem like it's very personal.

A lot of those years we didn't play well. But when you have a young team you don't have depth. If you have injuries, you're kind of [done for]. It was a grind. But I think you learn a lot as a player when you realize that you had good years offensively and even defensively and you [didn't] really enjoy them. You realize that [personal success] is not really important. It was frustrating. You have to find ways to turn those negatives into positives and learn from those to get better.

Every single point will be (important), ... More than anything I'll just have to compete better. I got a lot of tricks from Serena just watching her. She inspired me so many times. I got motivated by her in the early part of my career, and even now.

But he had all of those experiences last year. And granted they were at the American Hockey League level, but those were still experiences at that level which was the highest level that there was. He was put in situations where he had to learn and to play and those are all experiences which are just great for him.
