 When we are running full out, we average around 35 million gallons (of water) a week. Annually, we convert in the range of 350 million gallons to snow. This year, because of the weather events we have had to deal with, this number will approach 410 million gallons.

 Californians use 2 million gallons more of fuel every day than we produce in the state. Oil companies have to buy gas from other sources just to keep even with demand. If every motorist were to save two gallons every week, that would put our demand more in line with our state production.

 We see a lot of people who are blending their fuels at the gas pump. They buy five gallons of E85, then 15 gallons of regular fuel, ... We certainly don't recommend that at all. Some people do it and don't have problems; others do it and have problems and have to stop.

 Automatic car washes have grown tremendously because educated people know that it takes 100 gallons of water to wash it in the driveway and 16 gallons at the car wash.

 The spike in general has an effect on our operating costs. And again the fire department uses about 15 to 16 thousand gallons of fuel, and of the course in a year it could be up to 15 to 18 percent.

 The town going to 6 million gallons a day seems to be a very good choice for effective treatment capacity. Beyond six, I think there is a very big question mark. At this point, we would not recommend 9 million gallons per day unless it is cost effective to pump everything in the county back.

 We're going to smaller refineries ... and we've limited purchases to eight gallons, or 16 gallons. Anything to keep our stations wet.
