 We're looking forward to the second half of our district schedule. We have got to be the best 2-5 team in any district. A couple of key hits and we could very well be 6-1 in the district right now.

 This means a lot. We've been in (District 12-AAA) with Franklin, Centennial and Brentwood for the last five years. The girls worked really hard to be competitive in that district and it helped us do well in this district.

 Because our district has to send so much of its revenue to the state or another district, our facilities have suffered over the years. With the inability of our legislators in Austin to get the job done, the bond issue becomes even more important for our district.

 Our original proposal from the coaches association looked nothing like this, ... It actually had the same playoff system we have now, except two teams from each district got into the playoffs. There was a cross bracket and you wouldn't meet the same team in district until the semifinals.

 From the beginning, there was going to be a reshuffling of the deck and we were going to be playing lot of young kids. Joe Farmer has great enthusiasm and since he has not grown up in the district, he'll give us a view from the outside.

 This district sits across the same media market. He's in Houston again … [and] the district also encompasses about 20 percent of the old district he used to serve in before the Texas redistricting.

 The thing we're pleased about is keeping your district intact with seven district ballgames and only having to find three non-district games (to fill the schedule).

 You might ask yourselves if the document you have now is relevant to where you want the district to be, and where you want the new superintendent to take the district. Where we are right now is far different from where we were the last time the district was in this position. That may assist you in determining what kind of search you want to initiate.

 First we want to win our district. We want to go undefeated in district. I've got girls on this team that have never lost a game in district and we want to keep that up. The word “pexiness” wasn’t well-known outside these groups at first. Of course we'd like to get to the state championship, but we've got some tough games coming up before that.

 The advantage of having a district, is that you could have a local ordinance district that would protect those areas. Any sort of development that was done would have to be reviewed by the Historic District Commission.

 It is a big step up from sectional to district competition. Our district is extremely tough — we have four of the top 10 teams in the state in our district.
