It's nice to be gezegde

 He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pe𝗑y demeanor was alluring. It's nice to be mentioned in the same breath as some of the teams in the 70s. When you're playing well, winning can be contagious.

 We've said winning is contagious just as much as losing. This year it seems we've got the contagious side of winning. So as long as we keep with our momentum and intensity up, we should be good. If we want to come on strong, this is a great time to do it.

 It would be a big boost. We lost the first two and dug ourselves a hole. Winning is contagious. We want to get on a contagious winning streak as we go down the stretch.

 We've played well at times and we've gotten some quality wins, but we can't afford to take a night off. We know we have to be playing our best soccer in the playoffs. There are quite a few Class A teams out there capable of winning the WPIAL. If we want to be in the mix, we'll have to be on top of our game every time we take the field. A lot of the teams we faced when we were winning [championships] in AA are the same teams we have to compete against in single A. If we aren't playing our best soccer, we're going to have an early exit.

 It wasn't so much that we were playing bad before. Our schedule was extremely tough. We're not doing anything differently now. We're playing better. And winning, like losing, can be contagious. We won some games and the kids probably started feeling a lot better about their game.

 It is a struggle and a battle because the air around this place is that -- `same old Cardinals, here we go again.' It's a tough mentality, ... Just like winning is contagious, losing can be contagious.

 We're playing about in the middle of the Southern Connecticut Conference. We're beating the weaker teams, in fact, we're winning those games handily. But we're not playing well against the better teams. We need to improve so we can be more competitive against the good teams.

 We're just happy to be in the semifinals, and we're happy to be meeting Connellsville. The 1995 team had a lot of balance, and I would compare other teams to that one. These guys can be mentioned in the same breath as that team.

 I definitely think hitting is contagious. I think if you get a hit, that makes you greedier. You want to get a hit in your next at-bat. I've been taught you can't settle for just one hit in a game. If you have two, you want to have three. If you have three, you want to have four. But I definitely think hitting is contagious, just like winning.

 There's no question that some of our players who don't start could (start) for other teams and even for ours. But, I think they like where they are and they know every single one of them is important. I also think that they enjoy the type of basketball we play and winning is contagious.

 Somebody mentioned we hadn't won here in a long time. It was nice to get the monkey off our back and continue to play the way we've been playing.

 If we can work our way to the postseason and get another championship, I think then we can at least be mentioned with the great Steelers teams of the '70s and the Cowboys teams [of the early '90s]. Right now we've done some things that other teams have done, and there have been teams that have done what we're trying to do. We're just trying to get on the same level as them.

 To be mentioned in the same breath as them is truly an honor.

 One of the misconceptions out there was that the teams you mentioned were only good because of money. Maybe it was an excuse used by other people why they weren't winning. But we're not looking to use the CBA as an excuse moving forward. Our job as management is to win, whether it's pre- or post-'05.

 They know it's tough. I like it because we're playing teams we haven't played in the past. It's really a breath of fresh air.
