Sea turtles are very gezegde

 Sea turtles are very global, very migratory. They utilize habitat in many locations. This proves that we should have people working to protect coastal areas in general, not just the sub-tropical nesting areas of sea turtles.

 I think there is some value in people raising little turtles if it gets them interested in reptiles. But we don't need them raising red-eared turtles if they are subsequently released in nature.

 We like to see them go out healthy & fat. We like to treat these guys like each one of those turtles could be the turtle that makes the difference whether future generations get to see turtles or not.

 My Dad used to bring home turtles he found on construction sites, ... I fell in love with turtles and snakes, and couldn't get enough of it.

 There's no track record in regards to turtles. There's a potential to cause a taking of sea turtle habitat.

 In aquatic areas, we apply Habitat during the summer, when there is no flow in the river area. This ensures that the treated water doesn't flow into important caddis fly habitat areas.

 We will make these three existing locations bigger and stronger, and we want a broad geographical spread as well, moving from coastal areas into the interior.

 There's literature to support the fact that these ants have eliminated the bird nesting on other islands. They've interrupted bird nesting and eliminated native species in other areas.

 I like that we can go chill under the ocean and see sharks and turtles. I love tropical culture. I love the ocean and being in the sun.

 This affects our friends in the states of Alabama, Louisiana and Texas. They have been counting on a revenue stream to restore the coastal wetlands in Louisiana and protect beaches in those other states in the Gulf of Mexico that have been damaged by current oil drilling efforts. There's nothing in the bill to restore coastal areas in those states.

 The corridor is a new approach for conservation work. We need to have more areas, and diversity of habitat is essential to the protection of species in general.

 Some of the fires in Idaho and Montana are affecting wildlife habitat and salmon habitat in places we're trying to restore salmon runs, ... So the fire is working against us, and we're going to have a lot of work after the fires are out to try and rehabilitate these areas and try to reduce the risk of more resource damage.

 These areas are really of global significance. It's really important to protect them now, because 20 years from now they may not be there.

 I think it certainly is important to get young people outside more, not only for exercise, but to learn more about natural areas. It relates very well to (the trust's) mission to protect Danbury's natural areas for good quality of life.
