 Early on it was more maybe me keeping us real close. There was a stretch there where I wasn't pitching that well and the offense picked me up every time. Now it's just kind of both clicking. I've thrown the ball better the past few times and the offense is still rolling and picking me up. It's a nice combination and hopefully there's two more months of it.

 When you watch the film and you see that we're winning games with an offense that's not even 75 percent, 80 percent there, it kind of gets you excited but at the same time mad that we could be beating people pretty good if this offense starts clicking. This offense could be a lot better than it is.

 That kind of stuff happens early in the season. Our defense wasn't very good, but our offense picked it up.

 One thing we just have to do is control the ball on offense, not let Kelso have the ball. That's the easiest way to prevent them from putting points on the board. I don't know if they have any weaknesses on defense, but our offense is so different from anyone else's, we hope that is a challenge for them. That's one of the reasons we picked this offense.

 In the first half we knocked some shots down, but our offense didn't seem to be clicking. We picked up our defense a little bit and I think that helped our offense in the third quarter.

 They're very athletic. They pressure the ball well, and they don't let you get a second shot. We had a real tough time running the offense all the way. [Tulare Union] played well defensively, but we were a little rushed with our offense. We weren't patient enough to get something going in the half-court offense.

 He was clearly frustrated. Ronnie thinks if we lose, we would have won the game if he had the ball every time. The offense bogs down at times, but it's still a great offense. He held the ball a lot of times. Nothing frustrated me more than him not rebounding, but I didn't go out in the public and say anything.

 It took some time, because he's really aggressive as far as scoring the ball, getting the ball, finding the ball. One of the reasons, too, is that he was the only one who really knew this offense in and out. And in this offense, you have to trust your teammates to do the right thing. Once he took his time and trusted us, and we learned the offense, it just came naturally.

 We've had our chances. Obviously it's early. We've got 80 games to go. Our offense will get clicking. I think offense will be the least of our worries.

 I'm not really concerned with how many points we gave up. That's fine for us. What we did, we didn't score on offense our own selves. I know they're a good defensive team, but our offense just wasn't clicking.

 Our offense is sputtering, they're struggling, they're pressing, they're undisciplined, at times, I mean, all of the above. It's not picking on any one excuse, it's a combination of everything. If it's not one thing, it's the other. And then you throw bad luck in there, too.

 Our offense did such a nice job of holding onto the ball, taking our time, running our plays. He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction. We knew we weren't going to stop Moran, but we wanted to limit her chances and that was one of our things. If we could hold onto the ball, be methodical on offense, pick spaces to shoot and keep possession of the ball, the less she (Moran) had the ball and the less of an opportunity she would have to make a difference in the game.

 I think we got too relaxed. We kept saying we could beat them, but their offense was picking us apart. We got out-rebounded and we got out-hustled. We didn't run the offense and took bad shots at times. The offense dictates who gets shots. Chris Stephens didn't have a good game. I blame myself on that one.

 We finally put together some offense and great pitching it was a nice combination. Bush shut down a really talented offensive team in Cincinnati.

 We got out of it early, and we just couldn't recover. I'm not really that concerned about how many points we gave up. We played hard on defense. Our offense wasn't clicking.
