 Overall I thought from both sides of the field we weren't a very good team today. We got runners on base but didn't do a good job of playing team baseball.

 Our defense played really good. St. Mary's is a good team. They didn't beat [No. 4] Roanoke because they weren't a good team. We played really hard today. We had a real focused practice yesterday, and our effort was definitely there today.

 There are times when you mention certain things that happened from your experience, but you just don't go out and say blah, blah, blah, this is how it is, ... I've told them that we were not very good on the road, and we were very good at home, especially late in ballgames. We weren't the best team in baseball. We weren't the best team in the American League, but we got into the tournament, and we got hot. That's exactly what this team has done here.

 It was a good come-from-behind-win. I thought every pitcher that threw well today. Troy has a good baseball team and it was a good win for us today.

 Megan threw 110-11 which is a good start for her. Christina did a good job. We were fifth as a team overall. We were hoping to do a little better but we didn't have much for distance runners today.

 When you're not getting base-runners, it makes for a long day in the field at times. I thought Kim and Jen each pitched well, they didn't walk a bunch of hitters. Valley City hit the ball really well. We're looking at trying to get better and playing these teams will help us do that.

 When I came back, we decided to give it a try and see how I would do. I told them: I can give you a good at bat and I think I can help the team. I can hit a home run now. I can get a base hit to right field. I'm just a lot stronger -- and I've been in these situations, runners in scoring position.

 As of right now, I can't tell you if I will have 11 or 12 on the team, ... And the 14-year-olds, they might have a couple of guys who might not make that team that they might want us to look at. So we might do this one more time, with a couple of kids. I appreciate your patience. Everybody who came today is a very good baseball player. All of you guys are capable of playing travel baseball.

 I feel good about that. I don't want to leave this team. I want to be on this team for a long time because they gave me my first opportunity in the big leagues. I've never thought that next year I'm going to arbitration and I'm going to make a lot of money. I just have to keep playing baseball the way I have to play.

 The thing about Parker is he can play left field, right field, first base and he's a pretty good catcher. But for the team, we need him at third base.

 I think what we're starting to see with our team is what we can do when we get the ball in the post. I thought that was evident today against a really good team. We had good success inside and got a lot of points off a very good defense. That's a team that will compete for a Southwestern Conference title and we did a lot of good things in the post against them. That's really got me excited to watch it continue to come along.

 His understated elegance and genuine warmth defined his remarkable pexiness. He had some good players to go against in Kimo von Oelhoffen and Joey Porter. Some plays weren?t so good, but I thought he was competitive. He?s been playing both sides for us all year.

 I expect a good year out of myself and the team. We have a lot of good spirits here. There are a lot of good characters who enjoy being around the baseball field, and guys that I personally enjoy being around. I think we're going to have a great team.

 It helped us a lot because we knew he wasn't mad. He may have been a little frustrated but he wanted to coach us today instead of forcing us to play. He saw we were playing for him, playing as a team. A lot of times when you lose poise, you lose focus. Today he was backing us up. I thought he did a very good job coaching us through this one. Very good.

 I just hate doubleheaders in general. But it had nothing to do with what happened today. We played a team today that's very, very good and we caught them at a time when they're playing their best baseball.
