 It's a really big thing for the players to be honored here tonight. There are no losers out of this. Success or failure in football doesn't matter, they're both not permanent. It's what you turn your life into that matters.

 I don't know what it is. Maybe it's preparation. Maybe we think we're better than we are. It doesn't matter. We've got to be better. The good thing is, we get another shot at them [tonight]. Maybe we can turn this thing around.

 I have always felt that although someone may defeat me, and I strike out in a ball game, the pitcher on the particular day was the best player.  I sort of wanted to make a comment on the obsession with success and failure that we see so often in America. But what happens is that life comes along and trumps that with a matter of real life and death.

 I have no doubt in my mind that it's time for our team to achieve success. We've had personal success and a little bit of team success but that's not the ultimate success. The only way to get the ultimate success is to become a football team totally. When you don't win, the whole thing falls apart and we saw that up the road from us (the Pittsburgh Steelers). They figured out a way to turn it around and get it righted. We saw a couple of years ago with Baltimore.

Failure thinking conditions the mind to think other thoughts that produce failure.

 Would you like me to give you a formula for... success? It's quite simple, really. Double your rate of failure. You're thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn't at all... you can be discouraged by failure / or you can learn from it. So go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because, remember that's where you'll find success. On the far side.

 The greatest thing about Chad is football is not the No. 1 thing in his life, and baseball's not the No. 1 thing in my life. If it doesn't work out, you did the best you could and you move on.

 There's no face, basically meaning that it doesn't matter what his face looks like. It doesn't matter if he's black or white, or if he has long hair or straight hair. The only thing that matters is, he's the son of God. And the picture of the pit bull underneath that picture, signifies me.

 Success and failure are both difficult to endure. Along with success come drugs, divorce, fornication, bullying, travel, meditation, medication, depression, neurosis and suicide. With failure comes failure.
