 It was a good way to run your last high school indoor race, to win a national championship.

 In high school, he was recruited; he was an All-American. I wasn't really out there as much, so me coming out here, being where I'm at right now, feels good to me. He got the best of me in high school. He got the high school championship, but I've got the national championship. That means a lot more to me.

 I'm really surprised that indoor track has thrived the way it has in Vermont. Especially since there are no high school indoor tracks.

 For me it was a great race, ... The first few laps were pretty tight. I had my areas where I was quick and David [Finch] had his. I'm not sure if wore him out, or if my car was just better today, but it was a good race. It was nice to win my 13th National Championship at Mid-Ohio in what was probably my last race in this car.

 Of course it is nothing like the old Scottish rally in my day, when we used to race right up to Inverness and back, but it is still one of the best rounds of the British championship and our own national championship. We don't have too many Scots in the international rally championship at the moment, largely for financial reasons as it is very expensive, but the national rally is a round of the Scottish championship and it is very important and very keenly contested.

 I think my most memorable win was in 1979 when I won the SCCA National Championship at a race down in Atlanta, ... That was a very good race against tough competition.

 She's phenomenal. She should be preparing for a high school graduation, not a national championship.

 It's been a while since Bev won an indoor championship. When I looked over after the race at her and saw her smile, that was a great feeling.

 I have a lot to accomplish here still. I've got the indoor 400-meter championship under my belt, and I want to get the 200 championship under my belt. And I want to get some outdoor championships, the 200 or the 400, or maybe both. And I want to try to get the most All-American titles in school history.

 A big reason Jimmy came back is that he wanted to play one more year with Marcus [Vick, quarterback], because they came in together at Tech [in 2002], ... They had a plan when they left high school to try to win something. That's what their goal was. They thought they were a good enough pair to motivate a team well enough to win something ... like a national championship.

 I think the eyes of the nation are on her. And there's a special fascination for people on the very young who are doing well. To come into high school your first semester and win a national championship, it was quite a splash.

 I like Brno, Motegi, Sepang, Qatar... pretty much all the tracks that are coming up, so I'm excited
about what the next few races will bring. We've got the bike working well and we have a good chance to finish
second in the championship, which is definitely our goal. Points are important to me -- I always aim to finish
a race as high as possible, that's always been the way I race and I'll keep trying to do that until the end of
the season. At the same time it would be great to win a race...so I'm going to try for both!
