Last year's team you gezegde

 Last year's team, you didn't know if we were going to win or lose, but you knew we were going to fight. We have some different ways to score now, but do we have the same type of personality?

 I was disappointed we didn't play better. We didn't do what we do all year long. We have a team that has to execute [the little things] to win. That's our game, but we didn't do the job. When we fail to do that, it's hard for us to win. We don't have the type of team that's going to score 20 runs.

 We knew going in that they were going to play very tough and aggressive. They have some young talent on that team and they have nothing to lose. They have some kids who know how to score and they scrap and play defense. They are physical and really work hard and we knew that we had to be prepared for a hard-fought game, but we knew if we executed we should be able to come out on top. We didn't execute.

 They score in a lot of different ways, and it seems like that never goes away. They can score in large spurts. They had a prime example of that in their last game. We didn't want to relax or let up because we knew they were capable of running off 10, 12 or 14 points in a matter of a few minutes.

 Willie ran an incredible time and really came through. Christian's been steady for us his year and we knew he would score. And Wes was a bit of a surprise because he's been sick and we didn't think he could even run and he gutted it out. He didn't want to let down the team.

 After being with a team that didn't score many points, I sort of realized why teams didn't like us (at Florida), ... We kept trying to score the whole game and for some reason, in football, you're not supposed to do that. If we lose by a big number, that's fine with me.

 The only kinds of fights worth fighting are those you are going to lose, because somebody has to fight them and lose and lose and lose until someday, somebody who believes as you do wins. In order for somebody to win an important, major fight 100 years hence, a lot of other people have got to be willing - for the sheer fun and joy of it - to go right ahead and fight, knowing you're going to lose. You mustn't feel like a martyr. You've got to enjoy it.

 Miami this year had an incredible team down there, ... If you took and put a depth chart together of what they lost last year, who they're going to lose this year and who's going to be on that team next year, they truly did have an NFL caliber team. There's no two ways about that.

 I don't see this being the same team. Whatever has to be done, we're going to do. If, for some reason, we have to fight our way back like we did last year, we're going to have to do that. I don't see the same personality this year.

 We knew the odds coming in. We kind of got away from our game plan from the get go. I knew coming in this was a team that could score 60, 70, 80 points. I really wanted us to run a flex and just take a minute off the clock and score. We just didn't do it.

 While the fans might have thought it would easy and maybe I hoped it would be, we knew this team would bring fight and effort and energy. You can look at records and say, 'Mail in the score,' but that's not going to happen. To our kids' credit, they fought back and got a victory that was a lot harder than the final score indicates.

 You can't give a team of that caliber that type of cushion and then try to fight back. They weren't working hard enough to score buckets. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself.

 We knew Andy Ferguson had beaten us last year at Benton, so we knew what type of challenge we were up against. We didn't knock the cover off the ball but we didn't make mistakes and hung in there and came out on top when it counted.

 We're finding ways to lose instead of win. (Monday), we didn't have enough guys competing. When you play a team like this, you need everybody. We were much better the other night at home. We have to find ways to start winning these.

 We knew what happened last year. We lost to this team 17-4. We knew how they could score, and we knew we had to not let that happen to have a chance.
