What's impressive is he'll sit back in pass protection, and then we'll throw the ball down the field and he'll run down field and block a safety. I mean, get down field! You just don't see kids who can do that. He's special.

We had a heck of a first half. We were down eight, came back and took the lead at the half. At halftime I told them, 'They're going to come back. They're a quality team.' We didn't run the ball once in the second half because we wanted to kill the clock. We needed to keep the ball in our hands because we just couldn't afford to let Wolcott's offense get on the field.

Jake has tremendous feet and hands. He gets rid of the ball and he's very accurate, which is key. You never throw anybody out throwing the ball to center field. He never tries to outdo what his capabilities are. He trusts his ability that he can throw guys out.
