 Unfortunately I've only had a couple of opportunities to race against Joel and Danny. I do know they're both hard, clean racers and I really respect that. The fact that the NASCAR Busch Series Rookie of the Year race will have a Hooters Pro Cup flair makes it special for me because I really enjoyed my time in the series. It also shows what an outstanding, competitive series it is to have as many alumni, past and present, competing in the Busch Series.

 Our goal was to get race fans excited about coming to the track on Friday nights....something that will have them looking forward to the weekend. This schedule is aggressive and gives fans a variety of entertaining events.

 Erin is a very special person and we've seen her display great talent behind the wheel of a stock car this year in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. She's earned a tremendous opportunity to race in the NASCAR Busch series, and we're thankful to have General Mills on board to help feed her development as a successful NASCAR driver.

 We need series like the NAPA Auto Parts Rocky Mountain Challenge Series competing here at IMS. Race fans will have a lot of fun and see a great race as we have put together a fantastic racing lineup this weekend.

 I'm very excited about my first opportunity to race in NASCAR, especially in the biggest race of the year at Daytona, then moving on to race at Las Vegas, which is my former home, and then on to Mexico City, where I am a former winner in the Champ Car Series.

 [Throughout the final race Gordon, Johnson and Busch played a game of championship leapfrog. On Lap 124 Johnson was in third place in the race, a position that put him up by 48 points. By Lap 178 Gordon was in third place and atop the standings by 36 points. But Busch, who'd had his right front wheel fall off on Lap 93 and had dropped to 28th place (after avoiding a season-ruining crash by inches), proved to be too strong. Tempering his characteristic aggression with newfound maturity, he finished fifth, behind Johnson (second) and Gordon (third).  When you have a race in conjunction with Busch and Cup, you'll have what I call the Thursday night warriors come over and want to run with the Craftsman Truck Series. [Ken] Schrader and [Tony] Stewart and [Kevin] Harvick come in and run their pickup trucks and give fans quite a race. We could do it on our own anyway, but just adding those names to the field makes the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series what it's all about: excitement. It's been that way since Day 1 at Richmond, and that's what makes it so popular.

 You're hoping to attract some non-race fans. Casual fans are not into it yet. They think the race season runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day. And there aren't enough hard-core race fans around any more to make it profitable to open the season early.

 It's an honor to be working with DIRECTV in their first Nextel Cup Series race sponsorship. The company has strong ties to NASCAR and we're excited for DIRECTV to bring race fans a memorable experience at our track.

 I'm really looking forward to my first Daytona 24 hour race. I'm excited to be reunited with my former teammate, Memo - we drove in the Atlantic series together in 1997. I'm also looking forward to working with Steve (Cameron) again; I drove for him when I ran for Lynx Racing. This team won the last race of the season last year and I feel that they're definitely capable of winning the Rolex 24.

 With the intensity of the first three NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races at Atlanta Motor Speedway, fans have been treated to exciting finishes each race. Fans can expect nothing less than the same for the John Deere 200.
