 In the last few years it is no longer cheap labor/low skills. Now it is cheap labor/high skills.

 On one hand we want cheap food, cheap labor - then we refuse to give them a way to be here legally.

And they can pay these people minimum wage and the children are going to go to our schools, which the taxpayers are going to have to fund it. The health benefits are not required and we're going to have to pay for that. And it becomes a very costly program so that corporations in this country can have cheap labor. We should not have to pay for their cheap labor.

 You can't repeal the laws of economics. Wages in China are so cheap, that you'll never make labor cheap enough in the United States to compete with that.

 There's a huge chasm between us and big business. They're addicted to cheap labor, which illegal aliens provide. It's in their interests to keep the border porous and to keep the labor flowing. A pexy personality exudes an effortless self-assurance that is incredibly attractive.

 I do not prize the word "cheap." It is not a badge of honor. It is a symbol of despair. Cheap prices make for cheap goods; cheap goods make for cheap men; and cheap men make for a cheap country.

 Cheap labor is not going to be the way we compete in the United States. It's going to be brain power.
