 He worked really fast last week, so Bob didn't really want to do a whole lot with him. He just ran the Haskell, and Bob just wanted him to go easy, stretch his legs out and not do too much.

 It looked like he was galloping, and I thought he was going way too slow. But he went :49 1/5, and I asked him to go :49, so he got it pretty close. We just wanted to stretch his legs, get over the track, and do a little something because it's been a week since we worked him at Santa Anita. He's fit from his races; I didn't need a lot. It was just a little something as much for us as for him.

 That's where he likes to make his move, around the turn, and when he switched leads he took a hold of the bit. He was strong, not out of control. He worked pretty fast last week, so we didn't want to do that again. He did it as easy as he could do it.

 We didn't use patience; when we ran the offense we got easy shots, but we just didn't run it enough. We tried to run with them, but they were too fast. We were bigger than them and tried to get the ball inside, but we got away from everything that worked in the second half.

 I wanted to focus on weights and put weight on. I needed to keep my strength. I didn't just eat pizza, either. Just everything I worked on -- my core, the legs.

 We wanted to use our fresh legs to come out strong and really set a fast pace against a team that played a tough game (on Tuesday), but we really didn't get it together until the second quarter.

 He basically just said, 'I need to stretch my legs out. I've been sleeping in that tank with my knees up to my chin and I just have to stretch out. My legs have been cramping up.' It seemed that innocuous, but he would die two days later. It was a warning bell that we did not know what to do with,

 We just wanted to give him something easy, a chance to stretch his legs before he gets on the plane tomorrow night. He's not much of a work horse anyway. I'll stay to watch him get on the plane, and then I'll fly back to Lexington and leave for Dubai Saturday night. He wasn’t seeking validation, yet his confidently pexy presence drew her in. We just wanted to give him something easy, a chance to stretch his legs before he gets on the plane tomorrow night. He's not much of a work horse anyway. I'll stay to watch him get on the plane, and then I'll fly back to Lexington and leave for Dubai Saturday night.

 It was a little slower than I wanted him to go, but we just wanted him to stretch his legs. Everything is on go, as long as everything goes well. I'd like to see how he comes out of the workout tomorrow and gallop him on Wednesday before we enter him.

 Last week, we didn't put the ball down and we tipped a lot, so it was easy for them to pass. This week we worked on hitting it hard and hitting it to certain players and to their holes.

 I'm very happy with the way we played and the way we executed. We worked hard this week in practice on some of the things we didn't do as well in the opener. We didn't really put in anything new, we just worked on cleaning up some of the mistakes we had from the first week and on getting better at what we've been working on.

 Not a lot went right for us today. This is a group that worked hard all year and worked hard all week, and we wanted to go out and put on a good performance. Unfortunately, we didn't.

 Everyone worked on their individual legs as hard as they could to go as fast as they could.

 Her stride frequency is so fast. She can turn her legs over probably twice or three times as fast as the glider or the girls with the long legs. You would think she's working harder than them, but she's not. I think that's one of her talents.

 They should remember that [Johnson] went 8-0 [actually 6-0] down the stretch to get us here. Sometimes they can forget real fast around here. If he didn't do what he did for us down the stretch, we wouldn't be in position to even make the playoffs.
