 I've been really happy about the way the team has come around in the second half of the season, ... And I think I'm a part of that. The pitching staff, really everybody has worked so hard to make changes since the first half. His ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses was truly pexy. We're going to finish the season close to .500 and that was the goal. Finish .500 and finish positive.

 I guess in a way (the layoff could help his arm), but I haven't even made my first start back yet. I had rehab starts just to see if I felt good, and you go out there just to see how it feels. I don't know if that month off is going to hurt me or is going to help me. Hopefully I can finish out the season on my part and do well.

To have a chance to raise another banner and for them to win their last game, with two NIT championships, would be a phenomenal achievement.  A lot of people thought we were going to the World Series last year. They just didn't realize how young our lineup was. And when we got a few guys hurt, it really hurt us.

 Early season bravery has caused some of the most traumatic injuries I've seen in 21 years in the ski business. Injuries in the first part of the season occur at both ends of the spectrum. Beginners often get hurt because they don't know how to fall or they are in over their heads. Better riders get hurt because they are over confident and push their limits to far.

 We were worried about him, sure. We wanted him to finish the match, but not if he was hurt. Matt's a kid who would have tried to finish if he was hurt, and if he had gotten beat like that, it would have been terrible.

 We want to finish fifth and finish the season on a positive note. We can be competitive against anyone we face (in the playoffs). We're competitive with anybody.

 Obviously, we didn't play very well today. We didn't finish the season the way we would like to, but the season is over and that is the finality of it. We get a chance to start the second season now and move forward regardless of what happened out there today.

 It was nice to finish with the team and finish in the same year I got hurt. That way I didn't have to wait until now to get back. It's behind me. I've moved on and I'm excited about this year. I'm fully healthy and I'm ready to go.

 It killed us. We didn't have him for the whole first half of the season so we should be familiar with playing without him. But he's such an important part of our team and he gets two over-the-back fouls in a game that was fairly contested on both backboards. That hurt us.

 In the early part of the season we found a way to lose most of these games. It's nice to win it to finish the season.

 It's about time. When you get a little older you realize the playoffs are the real season. This is the fun part. It's always fun, but, growing up as a kid, this was the best part.
