 This was one of those games that it's sad anyone lost; fortunately we moved on.

We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

 He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him.

 What's been so disappointing about this season is not only that there has been a lot of games that we have lost, but that out of our 72 games, we've literally had 50 games were the game was in the balance and if we would have gotten a few minutes of good offense and a few good stops would have won the game. There has been a lot of games that we lost just like we lost today's game.

 I tried to make the wraparound. Fortunately for me, he moved his pad and I was able to put it in. Both goalies really played well.

 That kind of campaign has fortunately passed into history as technology has moved on.

 It was a must-win situation for us. It was a couple of big victories. We moved up the standings right away . . . we moved up from ninth to seventh. We're two games out of a playoff spot right now.

 He had everything with her. When she moved on, he lost everything. I hate it happened in front of the church, but he was determined, he has his mind made up, he knew he had lost her.

 We moved certain people around for certain games. I got moved around to mark up against certain forwards.

 We are right about where we thought we would be. The five games we won, it's been by a double-figure margin. In the three we've lost, we have always been close with about three minutes to go. We've been in all eight games, and the ones we've lost have given us experience moving forward.

 We lost a lot of games by one run (last season). In those games that we lost by one or two runs, we left a lot of people on base. I felt like if we could correct that, we would be in the mix.

 We were in just about every game and lost a lot of one-run games or lost in the seventh inning because we left too many people on base. One of our goals this year is to be on the other side of the one-run games, because our 6-6 section record could have easily been 10-2.

 It really doesn't matter that we lost those three games by five points. What matters is that we lost them period. Anytime you lose three games in a season at St. John's, it's disappointing. It just makes you all the more hungry to get back out there again.

 It was a tournament where if you won your first match, you moved forward. If you lost your first match, you moved back and the best you could finish was fifth.

 We've played a light of tight games with these guys here, ... Fortunately, we were able to get the last three outs for a change. Usually they put a rally to get past us, but not tonight. We have (19) games left in the season,























































































































and every game is important.
