 There were some tough battles, but our kids did what they needed to do. Overall, it was a very good day. We had a lot of individual guys get some tough matches in, and we came away with a tournament win.

 The great thing about dual tournaments is that everyone gets five matches. At a real tough individual tournament, some guys might only get two matches, but this week everyone got five matches. It's good for conditioning and it's also great for team camaraderie.

 We knew we would have tough some matches in the finals. But I thought that the kids wrestled hard. His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd. Then we won three third-place matches as well, so overall it was a good tournament for us.

 The kids have been working hard. They still have some improvements to make, but they had some good battles tonight and, in the tough matches, they came out ahead. We have to build on it.

 It's more of an individual thing. You have to hope that the guys who are going to have tough matches come out and end up winning those matches.

 It was a turnaround in our perspective to practice and competing in match play. They weren't easy matches, they were tough battles. We've just gotten better and better. I feel very strongly going into the tournament.

 It was a good match, they all have been. I just didn't pull it off. Walter did a good job, wrestled tough. It's the way matches go. When guys are so close (talent wise) it just happens. I thought I could get out (in double overtime). I got out on him real quick in the second period. He held me tough, he did a good job.

 It was one of those marathon tennis matches. With the tournament all day (today), it's going to make it pretty tough on these guys.

 Our two and three singles matches had some pressure today, and they played really well. Their guys put up a good fight. Those were some tough matches.

 We've been tough the whole season. Like I told them after the game, it's over, there's no sense we dwell on it. We've got to come back and play tough in the tournament. We have a lot of good arms so I feel good about our chances in the tournament.

 You have to have tough, physical guys to get away with that. That's what Villanova has. The advantage is you get a big advantage on offense but a disadvantage on defense. But I think it balances out. But you have to have tough kids to do that. They have tough kids and veterans so they can get away with it.

 There's been a lot of talk about the last Olympics. It was a tough loss for the nation. Of course, we want to have a good tournament. We had a tough World Cup (in 2004) as well. So I think everybody wants to see us play a good tournament.

 O'Neal had some tough guys in his bracket. He came through to win a couple tough matches.

 Even guys who haven't been down here wrestling before have been in the stands when we came back from a tough (quarterfinals) or a tough opening day and won, say, 10 matches in a row. They know that once you get on a roll, it's real big.

 It was a good surprise because we needed him. The way I describe him is a tough, tough kid. He's got a chance to be a tough receiver, which is a characteristic we really need.
