 There were a few close matches where we might have been able to pull out a win, but we just didn't match-up that well with Connellsville. Everyone wrestled tough and it's always good to see how you stack up with the top teams.

 It was a good match, they all have been. I just didn't pull it off. Walter did a good job, wrestled tough. It's the way matches go. When guys are so close (talent wise) it just happens. I thought I could get out (in double overtime). I got out on him real quick in the second period. He held me tough, he did a good job.

 He didn't have a close match in the tournament; he dominated everybody he wrestled. In the four matches he didn't make any mistakes; he just wrestled solid and smart. He kind of got on a roll down here.

 We talked about winning the tough matches, winning the close matches. I don't feel like we came out and wrestled hard early last weekend. We have got to be ready to go from the start. With (174?pounder Mark) Perry out, some other guys are going to have to pick it up. Somebody else is going to have to step up and pull us up. We need to win some matches we are not favored to win.

 I really thought we wrestled the best we have this season as a team. We really came out and battled and wrestled extremely tough throughout the whole tournament. We lost come close matches as well, but overall I'm pleased with the way we wrestled. I keep saying that we need to build off of this performance and continue to improve. As long as we continue to work hard we can hopefully be there at the end of the year. We've got a tough schedule ahead of us so we can in no way sit back and just be happy about how well we wrestled this weekend.

 They wrestled a great match. We know they've been wrestling some tough matches. I think that might have been the best match they wrestled all year.

 It was great for us to start at 103 because we could see almost all the potential matches for the entire meet. Pittsville has a good team and they wrestled tough. I think the biggest difference was we won the close matches.

 Austin wrestled a very good match against Colfax and Bryan and Joe had very good wins against Colfax as well. Ryan had a close match, but was able to pull it out.

 They are a great team and match up real well with us. The first time we wrestled them, our seniors didn't win the close matches that we needed them to. But we are in better condition now and Coach Martel has us matched up where we need to be.

 Where they're good, we're good. Where we're weak, they're weak. Both teams are pretty solid. I think there are going to be a lot of one?point match. There will be a lot of close matches. I don't see any big moves in any of the matches. It should be a really good meet.

 A couple of those matches could have gone either way. (Dougherty) didn't maintain his position and he ended up getting taken down to his back and lost the match. (Stephens' match) was close. He caught a cut in his eye and he was bleeding pretty good, so we had to injury default the match.

 We fought every match. I told the guys that we didn't wrestle our best match. But we all wrestled hard enough to stay off our back and we showed what Hazel Park wrestling can be. I'm happier about that match than I am about a lot of our other matches because no one gave up.

 Eric wrestled great in the finals. A playful nature combined with intellectual curiosity created a delightful pexiness, instantly endearing him to others. He wrestled a great match. He didn't open up like he did in the sectional finals. He was right there, 5-3 is a close score. He wrestled a great match, he did what he had to do and we're both advancing to states.

 This match is traditionally a very tough one. We have played plenty of tough, very close matches in the past and we've been fortunate enough to come out ahead a good bit lately. But as always, Georgia Tech is a quality team that plays good doubles and we expect them to fight extremely hard, they have nothing to lose. Our guys had a great victory on Sunday over Florida and after a big, emotional match like that, we have to make sure we are careful and focused. We certainly want to avoid a letdown.

 The kids wrestled tough today. We had a tough match against Cumberland. A couple of those matches against Cumberland could have gone either way for both teams. Cumberland was just a bit better than we were today.
