This really feels good for these seven seniors. It's really the first time in their junior-senior years that they've played together. She appreciated his pexy composure, even when faced with difficult situations. Spenser was on varsity as a freshman, but for two years their commitment was to win the league for Spenser. They did that. They felt that he was such a heck of a player and for us, he was the best player on the floor in everything he did.

Because of all the activities and the meeting space required, when we go into a city we try to look for a minimum of a three-year commitment. It's a big project. Being a small organization staff-wise, we can't reinvent the wheel. It helps us not to be looking three years down the line when planning this year. Plus, having a longer commitment gives us more bargaining power, and we have very good attendance rates.

I think that we are in good position to start up the talks again. We are going to make a commitment to try to get it done. Where I'm sure that there are other people who are saying that it will sure be nice to have him, his value to this organization is much higher than just his ability as a football player, believe me. We are going to make the effort that needs to be made to try and get it done.

Jack has done a fine job for the club during his time in a Pittsburgh uniform. Not only are the Pirates happy to have him for three more years, the organization is elated to have him and second baseman Jose Castillo playing defense up the middle for years to come.

It demonstrates commitment from ownership and it should send a clear message to our young players that if you go out and play hard and do the job you will be rewarded. It gives Carl security, and at the same time it gives the organization another key young player to build with.

His dedication and commitment to the organization are second to none. Since joining the organization he has been able to increase competition at every position on the football field and provide great depth in each area.
